Hi guys i bought my first tvr about a month ago and love it to bits (crystal topaz 4.5)and was wondering about a few things. firstly what exactly is the red rose conversion and should i have it done? 2nd has anyone been having problems with there starter motor mine seems to not engage whenever theres a group of people lookin at my car :s any help would be welcome ohh and great forum spend a good hour reading

Hi there - welcome to the madhouse!
RR conversion is about £4.5K retro fitted to a 4.5, mainly comprises work on top end of engine, remapped ECU, delivering probably somewhere around 400 genuine horses.

Good article in this month's Sprint on Julian Rowntree's car - very detailed explanation of how to get a genuine 420bhp++ from a Cerbie!
starter motors do go wrong eventually (get a bit hot, I think) - not cheap to replace but you can get them reconditioned if you don't want to pay for a new one
