Do you think it makes a difference where you get wheel alignment done? For example, is Kwik Fit as good as a TVR specialist. After all is it not just a case of getting the balancing, camber and direction correct?

I'd be interested to know anyone’s opinion /experiences.

Cheers

I think you'll find most high street outfits such as Kwik Fit can only do wheel alignment and not a proper geometry check including Camber & castor.

I had a complete alignment job (front and rear) on my Cerbera using a state of the art jig at Racing Green (TVR dealer) in Ash Vale near Farnborough. I had been experiencing uneven tyre wear (inside shoulders front and rear). Problem solved. It was pricey (>£100, but worth while).

Make sure they've got the right information for the Cerbera. I went to a local place (supposedly a bit more specialist than Kwik Fit) and they didn't have the settings information in their database and therefore couldn't do the job.

Just had a full 4 wheel alignment job done on my bimmer at Protyre in Slough. Very impressive kit and good service. I asked if they had Cerb settings and they don't (unsurprisingly). If you were able to tell anyone using this system what the desired settings were though, I'm sure the results would be impressive. £58 all-in by the way.

Depends on the specialist. Micheldever Tyres do four wheel laser alignment checks, and they have the settings for TVR's.
