I think I saw yours for sale a while ago (might be wrong - sorry if I am), but I've not seen your car (and I have been looking!).

If you are on Maidenbower, I might need a favour in a couple of months as I need to check if a cerbera will fit in the garage without grounding out too much on the drive (the S4 grounds a bit but is lowered and the scimitar clears no problem).

Obviously, beer would be the order of the day!!!

Cheers

Cheers for that - I need to do some testing when I get back from skiing - end of Feb I recon.

Glad it wasn't yours but I did see one for sale with the 555 reg number and put 2 and 2 together (=5??). I have been tracking the for sale ones for a while, you can probably guess why!!!

Thanks for the offer - I'll drop you a line nearer the time if that's OK.

Cheers

The mystery is solved 'tis mine. Got it earlier this month but its been in the garage whilst the steering rack seals were replaced, giving it a test run last night. Its a 4.5 in Olympic Blue.

Rob, let me know when you want to check out whether it fits in the garage scenario. Mail me through my profile.

You may have also seen me out and about in my S1.

Martyn,

Aha - there's more than I thought!!

Thanks for the offer- I will be looking when I get back from skiing (if I don't break a leg or two!).

If I do take the plunge, would that make them common?? ;-)

Thanks!

I quite like blue!!

Apparently, according to 'er indoors, we don't want a yellow one (apparently one bright yellow car is enough)

Well, I'm back from skiing (no broken legs thankfully!) and wondered if I could take someone up on their offer of trying a cerbie in my garage?

The problems are ground clearance (don't you love modern house builders?) and width in the garage for opening the doors (same issue!).

I'd look pretty damn silly if I bought one and it wouldn't fit!

Thanks in advance!

I just wanted to say a HUGE thanks to the guys on here who so kindly came round to answer the questions on getting the car in the garage. Great bunch of blokes and you've all done wonders to increase the pressure on me to get one very soon.

Obviously, the answer was that the ground clearance on a cerb is better than the Audi S4 (OK, so it's a bit lowered!) and fits the garage with no problems.

Now, all I need is to find a good 4.2/4.5 cerb with a light interior (not purple, sorry!) around the £20-30k mark. So if anyone knows of one, please give me a shout.

Once again, many thanks guys - what a great bunch of people and what fantastic cars... Once Easter is over, I must take you all out for a beer or two in appreciation.

Bit of an update...

I've only gone and done it (sounds like something off the tele!!) and have made and had an offer accepted on my first TVR (a cerbie, naturally!).

I daren't say too much until Rob Ingleby's inspected it and I have the keys in my hot, sweaty hands, just in case it all falls through.

All I have to do is sit here patiently, sort out the insurance and, er wait. How the hell do you do that at a time like this?? Any ideas?

Thanks again for your help guys, you may have cost me a fortune!!!

Cheers

Rob
