Are they easy to remove? Any locating parts etc or are they just bonded on? Im looking at removing and colour matching to the car as the carbon doesnt look very 'carbony' any more!

Fine wet and dry and lots of lacquerer will make them like new again. Just dont go to mad on the sanding as it will start removing the carbon. that or go to carbon mods web site and buy the laminating kit and use the two pack resin to build up the layer again.

The rear is bonded on and the fronts are bonded/riveted.
Im just spraying the rear one now, have done it in situ though.
I want a new screen so ill wait till i get that and do the fronts while they're off the car.

if you mask around them properly and do it on a still day you should get a good result without removing them

Quite happy with the result, has taken some perseverance and a couple of retakes but 100% better than how the tatty carbon looked! cool

I used a U-pol paint kit which came with primer/colour and clearcoat as well as sandpaper and rubbing compound. All purchased from
here.

Actually quite enjoyed it, i have a big compressor in the garage which would easily run a spraykit.....

Great job Loz. It was something we were about to do on ours - I was going to sand it back lightly and then re-laquer it properly (beyond the standard TVR stuff which IMHO wasn't up to the job) - that said, with a paint match like that, it does look very nice indeed. thumbup

Flippin eck loz that looks gr8 !

my old bus is looking like new ! congratulations ! i new there was a gr8 car under there if she went to the right man

on a crapper note.. i sold the 911 you saw cos it bored me after the cerbs bonkerness, and bought a griff 500, which having driven once is now sitting outside in a non starty, busted fuel pump way...

i may be a fool, but im a happy one.

Alright Mark, yeh shes looking good, plenty of little upgrades done to keep her tip top.
On your third now then? Chim, Cerb and now a proper Griff! Cant be bad mate youll soon get it fixed, addictive arent they. I bet it turns more heads than that porker, although it was a nice car i must say. All the best.
