Finally done it Cerbie 4.2 Green and sat on my driveway (took 3 days to get over looking at it). OK after 6 weeks of purchase it's still stunning, does this continue?????
Upgraded from Galaxy 1.9tdi and noticed the difference straight away when rolling backwards before even starting the engine, handbrake what handbrake must be the shiny control the other lever points at.
Great forum for discussing the cars individuality especially after reading about 'mil' lamp. Hadn’t noticed that one light so had a look at weekend, 2 wing nuts as read here earlier, cover off , there it is "wire cut" ooooooohh s**t the missus isn’t guna like this bill. Off to garage to heat up soldering iron, soldering behind controls viewing through window screen and remade continuity. Ignition on no light, immobiliser off, ah there it is, turn beast over engine starts and light goes out. Big smile on my face. Next job will have to be power steering, fluid leaking from somewhere not sure yet any ideas is there somewhere prone to leaking????

Welcome Martin.
That grin never goes away.
For those still shopping, did you buy private or via the trade and how were your experiences?
Go create some weather...

Cheers guy's nice to feel welcome........
I picked car up privately from South coast, which meant a 170 mile drive home M3-A34-M40-A43, what a baptism. Luckily it was dry on return although heavy storms on outward drive journey. I have driven it in the wet and you do need your whits about you, not too keen on sideways driving when the power cuts in between 2000-2500 revs on a roundabout though.
Will post picture in profile once charged batteries in camera.

Welcome Martin while you might walk around with a grin on your face your friends and neighbours will be . So be carefull of petty people and vandalism. In the first week of me own my Cerby a scratch appeared on it. The next day another, I set up a video camera system only to catch my sad ass neighbour and so called friend giving it a keying. I showed him the video and told him I was going to the police or he will have to pay for a new paint job. He choose the new paint job, and I have know installed a camera perminantly on my drive.
At the time I wanted to cut his head off and ~#%$ him but my girlfriend talked me out of the that. I still keep the tape for future blackmail.

Call it being careful or paranoia, but I had mine under
a cover for a few weeks and twice came out to find the
cover off, when it could not be removed other than by
hand.
Upshot was I too now have a camera on the drive and a
monitor in the office, not seen any attempts to damage
the car but a few kids have come up the close and right
up on to our land to view it.
Happy to leave them with their dreams, but also happier to be safe than sorry at the same time.
