He had an accident in his garage in November 2022 which left him with second and third-degree burns, and needed skin graft surgeries to his chest, hands and face.
Then he had a motorbike accident which left him with a broken collarbone, two broken ribs, and two cracked kneecaps.

The guy runs/owns TVR Garage who are selling TVRs in the USA now, so you don’t expect him to talk the cars down or talk about Russians I guess.

Overall it seemed like a decent video and Jay Leno seemed to like the car. Worth watching the whole thing.

Good advert for TVR in general.
He's posted on here last month after discussion about TVR's in the US and how some are heading out there

To be fair, TVR garage seem to be properly preparing cars for sale, not like the Charisma cerbera when it was first taken over and filmed whilst running really rough

LucyP, your utter misery shines through on every post, and goes against the opinion of the actual people who own these cars. My Cerbera will have been with me for 20 years this May, and many owners come back, owning TVR, after TVR.

What drives you to make these posts?

That video is a joy, a Cerbera is worth the money just on looks alone imo.
Well said: must be an absolute joy to be around.
1600 plus posts, must all be in the TVR forum posting doom and gloom around.
Weirdly, TVR Garage said they'd been driving the car around without any overheating issues. I've driven mine around Europe, at times at 35C, which was uncomfortable for the occupants if going slow, but no issue for the car at all.

Still NegativeNancy think they know best, despite no proof they've ever had a TVR.

Lucy posts some utter nonsense on these forums, but I’ve got to say I’m half in agreement with her here. I cannot imagine a more unpleasant ownership experience than a Cerbera in Arizona. In my experience of Cerberas, the cooling is marginal at best in British summer temps. The A/C makes the cabin just about bearable in typical British summers. The glue aspect
I hadn’t considered, but it is a valid point!

Let’s not take anything away from the review, it was a fantastic watch. The car sounded, and looked, absolutely astonishing. Would I buy one over there, knowing what I know about the cars, and with little to no specialist support? Probably not.
I think I got my AC working for a few years after about 10 years of chasing leaks. It worked OK-ish for a british summer, but didn't work in 35C temps in europe on a very long hot weekend champagne tour and others. After the engine was rebuilt it's not really been topped up since and I've not missed it. I tend to just open the windows and provided you're moving it's fine. Shorts, t-shirt etc

The Cerbera is a magnificent machine for high days and holidays that can be used as an everyday car, but it comes with its idiosyncrasies! If you want something well built, likely 100% reliable in any weathers and cheap to run, feel free to ask to borrow my Kia Venga (just acquired!!!) frown

Let me quote from a forum member called Gerradi from 2016:
What person experience have you got though?

As I said we have had the 4.5 for 23 years now, never in that time have we had any issues with engine cooling. I used to commute to work in Central London (back when the only charges were for parking). So plenty of sitting in gridlocked traffic on hot city days but there was the occasional bit of empty road back then too, so it was flat out on that before finding the next jam to sit in. That’s on top of the many hot summer track days too.

The problem with any web forum is that people only head there when they have issues. I haven’t been on here for a good few years because I was messing about with BMWs, the amount of issues people have with those is crazy. I’m sure you could go to any other forum & find just as many issues.

There have been many times over the years I had to take the Cerb because the BMW was broken. There have been a good many posts by other people saying their daily had disgraced itself & the Cerb had saved the day.

I’m not trying to say the Cerb is more reliable than a modern BMW, the current daily is a G31 540i but honestly I had more issues with the old E39 than the Cerb, the E39 is of the same vintage at the Cerbs, it’s all relative…
No No No you have to accept that LucyP thinks they are right about everything, and everyones personal experience of running cars in hot places doesn't count because they read something and know better.

My take is that I don't dislike LucyP, but I do feel sorry for them.

I feel sorry for them, because of the amount of time and effort they spend, on something they clearly dislike, hate even. I don't get it, I'm here because I love cars, one of only two enduring passions in my life (golf too! redface)

I just can't get my head around spending so much time, hating on TVR so much. They clearly know their stuff a bit, past owner, or employee? Who knows.

I'd love to see a positive response from LucyP, maybe they could write about something they love?
Agreed. I'd love to hear a few positive motoring stories from LucyP. Particularly if it's TVR themed.

I'll kick off with one of the most random encounters of my TVR ownership history (a positive one). Took my first cerb out for a mid winter pootle over dartmoor. In hindsight this was stupid as it was icy and lethal. I took a wrong turn somewhere around two bridges and ended up down a very steep, slippery hill down into a valley. Relieved when i got to the bottom in one piece only to see a red tuscan driving toward me. I wish I'd stopped and properly chatted but I think we were both fully clenched and trying to get back to something resembling a grippy road. The chances though... I don't think I've ever accidentally seen another trev whilst out and about in mine, but to pass one in some icy single track lane, in the depths of dartmoor, in mid winter, was thoroughly random.
Took mine to Beaulieu yesterday. Ice warning on all the way there, slippery roads so careful driving, low sun causing havoc at 7am, but still loved driving it there and back, it got a lot of attention. Still the most comfy car I have.

I do wished I'd stopped on the way through the new forest to take a 'horsepower' photo with all the horses at the roadside...

It's a kind offer, but no thanks. The last time I went round a circuit in a TVR as a passenger, Neill Anderson was driving, and it was a prototype Tuscan.

I don't really fancy ending up in the circuit medical centre after a trip round, in an old TVR, on budget tyres, designed for a Nissan Qashqai, with an amateur driving, when the passenger seat ejects, as someone rightly mentioned, probably because the factory just bolted it through the old fibreglass floor with bolts from B&Q. It's such a long uphill walk back to the paddock at Cadwell isn't it? It's no closer at Brands either. And I wouldn't feel safe at Oulton, because I might end up in the Countess of Chester hospital. They have had a few problems with a nurse called Letby recently, I think!
No worries, offer still stands if you change your mind.

Ps - I always use premium part worn tyres. I usually get them from all the crashed TVRs at these trackdays, sometimes while the wrecks are still smouldering and their amateur driver owners are still in the medical centre wink
But NegativeNancy will tell you it's the only place you can get spares now...') biggrin

I like that idea, but mines tucked away for the winter - here's a photo visiting the Italian cousins last year.

Also, great Harrys Garage vid just landed, for those interested.

Yea my guy signs into the race cars from wherever he is. Just using my phone as a hotspot. Really useful at the track if we have issues or want to try something different.

It’s quite odd watching your car and seeing the engine doing different things and no one is touching it!
TVR catching up with the McLaren F1 from how many years ago? biggrin
