Could not resist any longer

Finally plucked up the courage to book the S6 in for some sports pipes to be fitted!!!
Heard another S6 the other evening with this upgrade and could not believe the difference in the noise, decided then that I wanted them. However spoke to a few car enthusiasts at work and they all said , won't increase the value of the car, if it isn’t broke don't fix it etc.
But from reading comments made on here and the noise that is still rumbling around in my head, has made me think Sod it, you only live once!
I know I have made the right choice, or have I?

Cheers chaps, I needed that.
I think the guys at work where more concerned about my current exhaust, if that was not broken why replace it?
I can understand that, but they will understand why it has to be done when they hear it!!!
Have you had it done yet Paul...
Not Yet, have it booked in for Saturday, need to get a couple of other things sorted out so thought this would be a good time to get the sport exhaust too!

Oh go on, tell us what they drive....go no, go on, go on, go on......go on!
Well one is a really good mate (have know each other for about 9 years through work) and we have a healthy amount of banter, which I win mostly coz he drives a Yaris Disiel!!! He he, poor begger lives miles away from work so needed something that would cost peanuts to run. Loves his cars though.
The other guy drives a merc estate during the week and has a caterham for the weekend.

Yes. Simple as that. Just make sure you don't crash whilst laughing at setting car alarms off/making people drop their shopping.
I'm currently debating whether to have cat bypass pipes fitted in the next couple of weeks to go along with the sports exhaust; it's just not QUITE loud enough for me. I know GCerbera's has got both, and he's happy with the noise... anyone else, or is the consensus "too loud"?
I can't wait for the first time I drive the car throught the multi storey car park at work. I think I may have to test the alarm setting off theory!!!

I never had the cats out of mine but I had a loud sports exhaust which gave a nice deep noise, go to my profile and after a few secs you'll hear it. I've heard some de-catted cerberas and some sound to "spitty" and have a higher exhaust note. Preffered mine.
HA HA HA, I think I have just woken up my next door neighbours!!!!

HAPPY DAYS...
Bitter sweet really - some to55 pot left a nice big scratch on the back of the car so that needs doing and the oil warning light keeps flickering so that needs looking at too.
But, with that said - when I pick it up

What did they do to sort scratches?
It was a deep scrape 10 inches long and about 1/2 inch wide which had gone down to the body work. So they sent it off to Hilton Coachworks body shop to get it "fixed". I guess filling it out and re-spraying?
Well hows that for service? The TVR Centre just phoned me to ask how my journey was back to work! I replied "VERY LOUD!!!"
