spotted on the A21 going towards Tonbridge about 10.00
in the morning. This bluey green cerbie reg P5 something
saw me in his rear veiw mirror creeping up behind him and we both floored it...I forgotten how great a cerbie decated with sports exhaust sounded.

Shame for the cerbie driver though cause I was in a TTX50
nice blast though.

Dont get me wrong I love Cerbs check out theratpac.com

Hehe... respect? my backside...
come right on here and blag about it!

More like taking the piss out of the poor bugga!

At least thats another one on Austecs/Joolz's upgrade customers list...

You could get a contract out with the above indies, devour them on the roads so they go in for more (unusable) power...

It's one of those German things with the engine in the wrong place, I think.

I guess it's a Porsche 911 Turbo (TT=twin turbo) with the X50 engine upgrade.

The link in your profile is wrong, its missing a "T".

That will teach you for having too many "T's" in your car

I bet that Cerbie driver was pee'd off about not being able to get the "tuned VW" off his tail!

the TTX50 is a 996 porsche with an X50 pack - basically more power.

Very impressive cars, that (std car v std car) can take the Cerb in outright performance. That said, at 170+ they feel less alive than a Cerb at 50. Having been at 204 in a RUF Turbo R, I have to say I would honestly rather have a (old pre LW) Cerb 4.5 and a boot(in the right place) full of cash.

Then get it chipped/nitron'd/AP 6-pot'ted - for TT X50 matching/ crushing(?) pace... mmmm 400REAL bhp+ OR just £4k for a Red Rose conversion. Infact, sod it - I'll have one of each - and STILL have change over the price of a *USED* 996 x50. (I assume you can pick up a 996 TT x50 for £60k?)

How are things phil? I believe my dad may be the only Cerb owner to still have his car after the original Rolling Road days. Hope the Porker is keeping you entertained - must admit they are incredibly capable - if a little dull in comparison to the (admittedly) fragile blackpool rocket.

my brothers got a 530 brake upgrade on his porsche & i have to say it is very, very quick, particularly in this weather where the traction control is on overtime. (have to say, at risk of sounding like a wimp - i'd love it on mine right now). However, in good weather and on the right roads it's very interesting when we get together......

Oh and by the way, he says the standard turbo would be no match

WoW... someone stills remmembers me from my cerbie days.
Those were the days...

I was being sincere, the cerbera has one of those sounds which brings the car to life I should know I was one of the first cerbie drivers to don a sports exhaust and upgrade to the zertec speed 12 with the afterburners. I even went to the first powerstation day and complained about my 333bhp that's where I met Joolz and suggested that he left his daytime job and concentrate on starting his own busines (wish i'd claimed my commision on that one)

Enjoy your cerbie guys with your no ABS and no traction control and remember your actually driving...;-)

P.S...BCA I do remember you how many years ago was that,
whats the mileage on your cerbie now.

Hi Phil,

Good to hear from you. It's obvious that the love affair with a Cerbie goes on even after you've left the fold.

I've still got mine (over 6 years now!) and still get the grin every time I drive it.

I'm sure you have plenty of photos of yours, but I still have one of yours parked next to mine at Silverstone.

Best wishes for Xmas and the New Year.

Only 52k, but a good 30k of that was done since the RR day two or three years ago? (it was vvvlow mileage before we bought it) - dont think Dad will ever sell it (well, if he does - I'll buy it!)

Its just had a bit of an expensive year (steering rack/ big service etc etc) but other than that, its been running rather indecently well

Its still Dads daily driver, it still competes in sprints/ hillclimbs/ speed trials (where its eaten a couple of 360s despite the lack of traction - brightons 1/4 isnt anywhere near as grippy as pod etc etc)

I think a few upgrades may be in order shortly - dad likes the idea of the extra driveability and power that a re-map will give (400bhp ish real is possible?!! X50 eater!) although first he wants to get it looking a little bit more modern - S12 styleeee...

LOVE IT!!! I seem to remember you struggling to find a suitable replacement to yours - glad the Porsche fulfils that requirement... Have to say, with the Cerbera being killed off at TVR, a replacement seems to be very very difficult to work out. I can see the Cerb being here to stay - cant say im complaining!!
