Intermittent fault...

I have an intermittent fault with the hot air fan, which occassionally "sticks" on - a pain in this wonderful warm weather we are having!

I currently suspect a short, possibly at the switch but maybe further down the path. Has anyone stripped down behind the dash, and can confirm what the routing of the wires is for the heater, please?

I recall the back of the switch panel goes onto ribbon cable which I assume is the same ribbon cable that turns up on the fan control box by the ECU in the passenger foootwell. I'd check for a dodgy connector from the fan control box going to the fans (normal wires not ribbon) some of my connectors looked a bit brown in that area when I had a poke around.
