Hi all,

Any of you had a re trim? I fancy getting mine done and replacing the dash, roof lining and middle of seats with alcantara. Anyone got any pics etc of theres or details of any trimmers? I recon it'll be £2k+ for what I want.

Cheers,

Andy

just been reading the above topic, black carpet looks ace. I want to go for Tuscan seats in black leather with dark grey alcantara centres, alcantara roof lining and upper dash with rear seats also trimmed accordingly and a can holder trimmed into the centre consul, it's a personal thing as I'm always drinking Diet Coke and got no where to put it in the Cerb!lol.

Add some Carbon door card centres, instrument binnacle and rear shelf and it'll look Aston DBS/ Superleggera Lambo style. Went out in a Superleggera a few months ago and set my heart on it. If done properly it'll look stunning in my opinion.

And I used to think that people who bought Cerbs had taste.

But hey, it's your car - just bear in mind the effect on resale value!

Oh yes, it wont ever be for sale anyway!lol. I've waited 10 years for this car and it's gonna be done exactly my way. Every car I've ever owned I've always thought of the resale, mainly as I was always waiting till the day I'd get a Cerb so now I've finally got it I don't need to worry about ever selling it, hence it'll be done exactly as I want it.
If I'd of told you that I'd considerd a Gulf coloured respray and re trim what would ya say then!lol. Not totally ruled it out though.lol.

I would say (a) its your car... and (b) its hard to get hold of decent leather in the right colours!

Seriously though, be extremely cautious about cutting a hole in the center console without taking it out of the car first. There are fuel lines under it and you really don't want to knick one of them!

Cheers for the heads up on the fuel lines . I'm stripping the whole car out so hopefully I'll measure it up right. I think I'll just stick with the black leather and dark grey alcantara. The gulf thing is a bit of a childhood dream from my dad's mates GT40 I used to spend my life sitting in when I was younger.

What kind of cars have you owned before out of interest? Saxos, Civic's, Uno's - things like that?

Hey, nothing wrong with having things the way you want em, as I say, it's my car and it'll be done the way I want it. I cant see what's wrong with a recessed hole in an alcantara centre consul for holding a can of fizzy pop though?
So what have I owned before, Oh this and that, I once put some xr2 pepperpot wheels on a Mondeo so I've pretty much been there done that with cars in my time.

Anyone else know of any decent retrimmers? The name "Trimania" in reading has popped up a few times but I've heard a rumour they've gone bust?

Any recomendations?
