I can imagine how you felt when you finally got your hands on the GTO.
It's a staggering car - never owned one although back in '85 I went to Italy to pick up from the factory......
Fabulous to look at & awesome to drive. Then there is the noise of that twin turbo V8............
When the car finally arrived in Birmingham after an epic drive through Europe I can clearly remember parking the car outside it's new home with the engine burbling away whilst we went to find the boss.
He drove it, for all of two miles, brought it back & we turned the engine off. Eventually.
Then the engine started to pop & ping as it cooled down.
Loved that car - 426 GTO.
It's an awesome machine & I am sure that you will enjoy it.
