aaah the Mungo Meister! How you doing Sir, long time no speak

I'm sure they do look good in blue - it's finding one in the right blue that's the problem and I don't think they ever did a 348 Spider in that colour.

Yep, got the link to work now thanks.

After giving the Griff a base coat of red polish last night and having a couple of the local kids lusting over it and sitting in it and generally being quite impressed... maybe it wouldn't be so bad having a red one... and it certainly opens my choice up a lot more

GOT IT!!!

Courtesy of this little website...

www.ferrariclub.com/ faq/colors.html

my memory is of something between Azzurro California and Blu Tour de France (chiarro that people have mentioned)

I guess it may be Azzurro, and it looks slightly darker on the car OR the Chiarro but non-metallic.

Either way - i still don't think I'll find one with crema leather

if you do see the one at arun- then let me know the reg - I have a full inspection report on a 1993 348 tb in dark blue (tan interior) that I ahd done for a potential purchase a couple of years back - it may be the same car..

Also Arun had a LHD blue 348 stolen about 2 years ago (think it was a 1990 car) that I was going to look at until it dissapeared.

(So when checking out any blue 348 (tb) potential purchase make sure you get a full HPI on it - it could be stolen recovered - unlikely I suppose - but there are only a limited number in the UK so best to be safe...)

It is a G reg 90' apparently. Coincidence?

maybe - maybe not. THe Guys at Arun seemed pretty stright up on the phone and very helpful - they were gunuinely gutted that the car was taken (Along with a couple of others).

Is it a LHD car? The one I was looking at was LHD. (And of course my memory isn't amazing so I might have the date / reg incorrect and I'd hate to be throwing aspersions onto a car that didn't deserve them) - however when buying any performance car (or any car really!) a thorough background check should be made. In this case there are very few (As you are seeing) blue 348's around so tread carefully.

Wow, thats an awesome car.

That car might just suit Burriana's Tom Selleck-esque Rayban Aviator shades that he was sporting over the weekend

It is indeed the very one me & Shnozz have been eyeing up over the last two or three weeks.

In fact, the owner got in touch with me last night, (ta Phil) and sounds a decent guy and willing to answer any ownership queries even if I don't want a black one.

I just don't know whether black is a bit too subtle?

Oiy... if aviator-esque works for Mr Beckham I'm sure I can get away with it - granted others may have some doubts ...

Don't think the black 348 is too subtle Al....stick a Tubi on board and get rid of the cats and you've got a one way ticket to heaven. There are sound bites on the Scuderia Systems website (www.scuderiasystems.com) of the 348 with the Tubi.

Wooooooo, suits you Al:

Nowt to do with the sound - I'm thinking of the looks and whether I would get the same rush everytime I walked into the garage and saw a black Ferrari there as opposed to a red one

i am really tempted to get my Griff prepped for sale like... now!

Though think it might be tempting fate to go on EuroHoon with an untested car

If i buy another Ferrari, it DEFO WON'T be "resale " red. The blk cars look v cool , as do TDF blue cars , my personal fav.
As for a Tubi, it's a must . The best sounding Ferrari this side of a Stradale is a 348 TB with de-cat Tubi owned by a UK Fchatter.
