At the risk of incurring the wrath of fellow PH ers, I'm with the pedestrians here. Not really understood why people rev up their engines this way to "film".....especially in built up n congested areas with lots of pedestrians where elderly or children who least expect it could be scared.

Guy in the Lambo is a ,no need for that in a built up area I don't rev my CS up on request in built up areas because I think you look a proper tool!. Come to it when I overtake horse boxes, cyclists or old fellas with the windows open I always back off a bit.
Remember out there in the wide world petrol heads are in the minority so don't provoke tts like the one in the vid. He's as bad as the bloke in the Lambo in my opinion.
I don't think thngs are clear cut here, the number of times i've been out in the Ferrari and someone signals for a wee rev you either make their day by doing so or potentially looked upon as a tt for not doing so, the guy in the lambo couldn't win in this scenario, he's a tt if he does and a tt if he doesn't, just from different people's view points. I'd much rather make someone smile who's into cars and make their day than worry about upsetting some tt who gets scared by loud engine noises, Maybe he should wear ear plugs if his ickle ears are so sensative

No one asked him to rev it , why put up with more noise than you have to John.
I didn't watch the video, but I am frequently asked to make a noise in the Scud and haven't disappointed anyone yet, however I do only give it a quick prod nothing too prolonged.
I can understand it can be quite a shock to people as to how much noise these things make and if you weren't ready for it there could be a tendency to crap ones pants LOL!

Just watched the video and that chap was only a young bloke, for gods sake I expected it to be a war veteran, it was obvious that somebody asked him to do it. If that had happened to me and somebody came up to my window giving it the big one like that chap then I would of definitely given him the opportunity to discus things in more detail.

I do take photos and video these cars, but never ask for a rev or encourage 'enthusiastic' driving with hand signals etc, it is nice when people do spot the camera and make some noise though as they see someone appreciating their car.

I think it's intimated that the cameraman asked him to rev it before the film clip starts. For someone who scares easily at a car noise, he puts up a rather feisty attack himself.
I suspect this guy's constantly on the edge and looking for someone to express his views upon.
As Chris says, the driver wasn't deliberately targeting the guy so his the dislike of the noise doesn't justify the language, aggression or abuse. The correct thing was to approach him and make him aware politely, whereupon the driver may have apologised and considered that he'd upset a rational human being whose point of view was worthy of future consideration.
PH has some right girls on it these days. I started the 6 litre up in the services once, a man shoved himself in my window shouting at me because it scared a kitten he was selling from the back of his car, i didnt even rev it, and he made harry cry, who was 4 at the time, luckily he walked off before i got out and mullered him. (only because he made my son cry). 99% of people ask for a rev or stick there thumbs up, its not showing of its just fun for us and them. seems like the other 1% have started posting on here. FFS go and bore someone else instead of ruining this forum. At least the cars are not stuck in a garage so nobody can see them.

just got in after driving my sv, i was given a thumbs up and asked to rev my engine when stationery at lights, some people just dont like others having better cars!
+1 RoccoI don't think the people in that video are jealous of the guys SV...they just think he is an arrogant tosser.
If someone started playing bagpipes outside my house I would ask him to shut up - and not because I am jealous of his bag pipes.
