Wtf, confused!! No F40 on the show, what happened , some sort of monkey business going on, series jumped forward, gutted!!!
There have been four episodes of the new series and you can see them here:http://www.primewire.ag/tv-2733650-Fast-and-Loud/s...
The F40 is in the first two.
Was thinking about this on my way into work this morning... When i saw it at first (the finished pictures of FB) i thought sacrilege! How can you paint over the Red, how could you add things to the engine etc.
But seeing how it was wrecked, there probably won't be a better time to modify or tweak an F40. And seeing moving pictures of it, it does look damn nice.
And as for the money side/who payed for it- it's TV. If he said he paid for it with all the tea in China, or with some fluff he had in his sofa, so be it

I thought it looked fantastic in black on the HREs. The F40 moniker on the wing should've been black, or matt black like the NACA ducts. Anyone else notice that the Recaros that were delivered by the foxy delivery driver weren't the same as ended up in the car? In fact, it looked like the OE seats had been recovered in black, or something like that.
The purchase and sale "costs" are also laughable, but it makes for good telly. F40 aside, that 1966 911 was a lovely little thing.

Some how knew that Dennis would end up owning it....He owns some very nice vehicles as well as owning a Jeep Dealership and restoring Healeys. He is currently the owner of the very first Nash-Healey, which he is restoring. Not sure if Gas Moneky have a hand in that too, if so it'll turn up at an auction with Richard Rawlings losing his shirt as he seems to do so often at those auctions.
I loved the finished F40 but agree with the comments about the LED lights on the front....

Flicking back and forward through it, the seats in it at the end are neither the ones that were delivered nor the originals, so they must have found another set of Recaros for it. My guess is the first ones ended up being too tall to fit in.dom9 said:
I thought it looked absolutely stunning and loved the red 'F40' on the wing!
However, it takes a lot of balls to modify an F40 but, well, it was a cheap wreck to start with, so like another poster said - now's the time!
Where is our resident F40 modifier with pictures of his?
Me too, the F40 is my all time favourite car and when I saw the episode this week I was thinking they were making a dogs dinner out of a beautiful car. However, it takes a lot of balls to modify an F40 but, well, it was a cheap wreck to start with, so like another poster said - now's the time!

However, the finished article looked amazing. The $$$ they mentioned were total rubbish for an accident repaired F40 but it did look the business.
One of my favourite shows on Discovery now, love the stuff they do and the way it's presented.
After seeing this now, yes the costs seem a little extreme. For a moment I thought that maybe European spec Ferraris were not allowed for the US, hence why Bill Gates went to all that trouble with his 959 to ship it over to the States.
I have to say despite how rare the F40 is, the finished product looked fantastic, with the wheels, Tubi exhaust and black pain finish. Yes, the LED headlights are an acquired taste, but it was still an F40 saved from the scrap heap, and hence possibly why such an opportunity for modifying a Ferrari arose .

I like F&L and find it really entertaining tv. I hope they don't send the US Classic Car Rescue or Chop Shop with Bernie etc? The shame of it.
I thought the F40 looked great, especially considering what they started with.
Also liking the other characters they've introduced, like Tom who was abducted by aliens.

Think that there's some missing of the pint here;
As previously mentioned, these are so specialist the salvage would surely have been offered around, and obviously refused.
The figure they 'paid' for it was total bkes, again as sated that would get a reasonable driving example.
Plus, anyone buying one will no doubt research it and when they find it's been totally mangled, they wouldn't touch it with a Lamborghinin-made barge pole.
Shows how TV manipulates things and makes us believe that what we are seeing is true.
Excellent viewing, and good series though!
