Ferrari built 2 of those for the Sultan of Bruni (sp?). They even designed and fitted convertible roofs to them without ruining the look of the car. Based on the Testarossa chassis.
Nicest concept/render I have seen is a guy ont he Fchat board designed something called the 699GTO Mugello. Totally

I can see some attractive design points in it, but the exhausts really look like they belong on the deck of a ship tbh. Seriously:
Jim actually explained how the exhaust worked.
Below 3000 rpm the exhaust exits under the car into the rear diffusers. This is for traffic and in town quiet and safety.
At 3000 the exhaust shunts out the chimneys. And you can only imagine the sounds
It's nice. But then I like the original too. Can anyone remember David Clarke of Clarke's Boxes in Loughborough having the P3/4 that Enzo Ferrari personally gave him? A chap I used to work with knew David and he showed him the car, said it was truly astonishing and had a presence like no other.
When he sold it, it was the most expensive car ever sold at £6million IIRC. I believe it was David who set up Graypaul. Sadly he's passed on now.

I would love to know just how much it cost and hole long it took.
To those of you who do not line the back end. What shape is your bespoked Ferrari?

David was a very nice guy. His car was P4 0856 not a P 3/4. 0846 was the only P 3/4.

No but we had mutual friends and I've heard nothing but good things about him.
Cool. There was a TV program about him a few years ago that my friend who knew him recorded. The did a bit about the films he made, there was a brilliant one of him on the A50 in an old V12 Ferrari, possibly a 275.

I spent two hours last night reading this and still have plenty to get through, a truly fascinating read! www.glickenhaus.com/jim/project.pdf
Keeping on the P3/4 topic, this was the closest I got to one at Donington, I think it's a P3 though. It belongs to Peter Hardman and sounded absolutley gorgeous going round!
Although my lasting memory of this trackday was my passenger lap in the original DB1R that Shelby and Salvadori won Le Mans in 1969 in.
