frown Good luck putting it back together. Must have been a heavy impact if the chassis needs straightening.

Nostalgic .... Pic of her when she was just a few days old.
Heading up to Croft for her first track day.

I remember that day well smile was about to have a first lesson in instructing by Roberto Giordinelli who wrote for Auto Italia I think. Little did I know Croft was booked by the Ford RS owners club too that day. Spent 3 hours dodging RS Turbo's while a Cosworth Sierra was usually inches from the Murcie's rear bumper. In the end bottled it and went home.
Said it before but again, thanks for the comments. Be happy to post up pics of it being fixed. Was it someone on here who said its new nickname should be Triggers Broom?

Sid How the hell can it be the same bloody broom then?

I remember when you first got SG54. Someone asked, "so how long are you going to keep it Simon?" to which you replied: "as long as I can afford it".

I bet you never thought that would mean nearly ten years and quarter of a million miles smile

This car is legendary. I'd love to think Sant'Agata are keeping you in parts for the sterling work you are doing for their reputation for usability!

Sg54 feels like one of the family after reading so much about her, seeing her in Leeds from time to time and then mrs unseen having a drive at one of Simon's events. love to see her back in shape and ready for another few hundred thousand miles...

Made Jalopnik yesterday!

I think there may have been a sneaky edit in there as the URL reads 'owner crashed' wink

Good lord some of those comments on Jalopnik are moronic! "If it was a Saab running synthetic oil it would be on the original engine". Possibly true, equally, if it was six inches long and made of ground pork it would be a sausage!

Fingers crossed we see her again.

Agreed. Plus lots of people would be queuing up to drive a Saab around a track eh!

Heroes and Villains (1996)

Trigger, Del, Rodders, Sid and Boycie chating in Sid's cafe. Trigger has just been presented with an award for saving the council money.

I nearly spat my tea out when I read that. Anyway chassis straightened now, will be picking it up from Chartwells once we've got some space. Good people there. Very impressed.

Superb news to end the week! Looking forward to seeing SG54 back in action.

How about arranging a PH meet for its first post-resurrection run? There would be many of us willing to cheer the old warhorse back into life!
