It's good to see someone has got his priorities in order. Good man! And that with the cooling pipes, I like mine to be checked and replaced as the previous service had been done in situ and a year later a cooling pipe went. Luckily I always keep an eye on my dials so turned the engine off well before it got near to a dangerous temperature. Could have caused serious damage though!
Jonty you should think about using the silicon cooling pipes. I have been using them for a number of years. i got mine from pro-sport. Alot better than the rubber stuff, and did not cost much more than standard.
Still if the car is put back together with any clips sitting on the hose, it will rub through like anyother hose.

Agreed the silicone pipes are MUCH easier to insert and remove and seem to last longer. Still if the car is put back together with any clips sitting on the hose, it will rub through like anyother hose.
SFS performance do a full set for about £125 notes I think?
ETA: You can even have 'em in pink or whatever colour your heart desires....
