Car is currently in having the RSC Lp560 bumper fitted... Here are some pics from today, with more to follow as the work is completed:

Work is being done by FinishlineUK in Stevenage. I could not praise these guys more. They have some really interesting projects going on and their attention to detail and work is first class.

More pictures soon!

The rest of the car should be sporting the rubbed down, grey look within a few days.

... We just wanted to fit the bumper first to check the fit, which Im sure you will agree is very good smile

Direct out of the box, with a little bit of faffing with all the adjustments to make the lines where it meets the panels perfect.

They actually intend to do a little more profiling on some of the lines on the bumper before spraying, but its pretty damn good straight out of the box. I am just using a bodyshop of perfectionists so they will be doing a little more work yet smile

Not too keen to be honest. The front bumper is probably the worst part of the styling changes to the LP560 in my opinion.

Having talked to a lot of people at a few meets, its definitely a case of everyone having different tastes. I personally love the LP560 front, but do not like the rear, I like the original Gallardo rear. Some prefer the other way around, and some people just like one or the other in stock form.. I think thats the cool thing about subtle modifications to cars, you can make the car exacting to your own tastes.

.. and lets not even talk Coupe vs Spyder because this is where the biggest split in taste occurs. I do think the Coupe has nicer lines as a car overall, but love to lose the roof, so compromised in that respect with this car wink

Its probably too early to tell without it being sprayed up, who is doing the paint job for you ? Certainly it makes the old style bumper look a bit tame, would like to see a before and after shot side x side when its all done.

Finishline in Stevenage are doing the work. They came recommended from here on PH, and having looked around their workshops and chatted for some time to the owner Chris, I am confident the spray and finish will be as good as the prep and fit.

Hopefully will be all done by Wednesday so stay tuned for the finishes pictures, should look sharp once the grills and carbon fibre middle splitter are in place smile

Those of you that have chatted with me know I am a big fan of RSC products. Quality is awsome, I have their exhaust system on the car as well.

The bumper is found here:

OEM is a lot more again, and obviously LP560 OEM won't fit an earlier (pre 2009) gallardo..

Personally think the money is worth it to bring the front of the car nicely up to date.

Haha no, car is staying original, just getting the bumper and bonnet (stone chipped) sprayed and blended.

Dave, I did mine in my tiny garage, I'll let you know what's involved, and it's easy. Have pictures as well.
