Thinking about a Maserati
Discussion
Morning all
Thanks for the help thus far. I haven't managed a test drive yet as work and travel have pretty much precluded it. However I 'm aiming to spend a few hours at a Maserati dealership over the Christmas break.
I had thought I'd prefer an auto, given the character of the car, but I keep reading that the overall noise experience is better with the MC shift. Is this just a matter of blipping on change down or other wizardry, or is there some more profound difference at play here. Also it seems people with the MC sue quite a lot more fuel. Is this the box, or the temptation the MC brings?
Thanks all
James

James as of 2012 the Granturismo Sport in Auto form was called MC Autoshift this brought alot of the Noise and Character side of things ( Blip on downshift and quicker shifting) that previously was only on a MC Shift but to the Auto ( Not as extereme but but more that previous).
I believe The older cars in Auto form had the valved exhausts when the Exhaust side of things was options onto it.
My MC Autoshift gives best of both world I feel

There is also the MC Shift Handling Pack.
Which basically has the same suspension setup as the Stradale.
It replaces the standard electronically controlled suspension with suspension with a single rigid setup lowered by 10 mm, red springs and shock absorbers and a more rugged rollbar. The mapping of the electronic MSP system is also more appropriate for high-performance handling.
This is what I have in my car and it makes it into a different beast.
