Judt booked in for Tubi and the Capristo comes along!

To be honest though, sounded like the Tubi owner was taking it too easy on the loud pedal

Tubi and Capristo are totally different in tone, espech at higher RPM. I really like the Capristo and would've given serious thought to buying 1 had it been available when i bought the Tubi.
However, Tubi offer a no nonsense money back guarantee and free trial period and are VERY established players in the US market . Plus , there are stories of Capristo running too hot and developing cracks along the weld lines....

ITO is the answer...but expensive- if you can afford one its the daddy..... loudest(under load) and very very well built....but relatively quiet when not on the power in the cabin so no resonance on long journeys....

take a listen to video 1 for a clue ....

Hi Basher

Not keen on the ITO sound from those vids.

BTW What performance upgrades did you do on your car?

Personal choice with exhausts...most who have heard it in the flesh (including dealers) all ask what system it is as it is really screamy over 4k

Mail me for upgrades done to my car if you are interested i dont want to hijack this thread...

By way of an update, i had a chat with Karl at Verdi's yesterday when dropping off the 355. I asked him about the Capristo heat issues and he basically said it was bollox, these problems have been caused by poor fitment. They have a new heat shielding solution which removes ANY possibility of this issue and are currently fitting them as quick as they can get them in.....

Can't wait to get the girl back in 10 days or so after Verdi have made her purr

Is that just the 355 system Stuh, or is he "fitting them as quick as they can get them in" for the other Capristo systems too? If so, that's a very different story to the one I heard. I'll take some convincing that Capristo are as good as they're cracked up to be (excuse the pun!).

Kevin - All types. I had a look at the Capristo out of the box and it's a superb piece of work, with a fantastic quality feel. My advice is to go see for yourself, as like you i was very wary after reading some of the stories. The biggest bonus for me is that at tickover it isn't very loud so i can pull out of my drive without upsetting the neighbours but then scream it down the twisties

BTW I also discussed the ECU mods with raised rev limit etc. Has anyone had it from Verdi's and do you have any comments as to how worthwhile it is?

Karl - If your reading this my commision is 10%

Cool - thanks

Doh! Looks like MORE expense then. I was hoping to convince myself that it was a waste of money, but 9200rpm has gotta sound good
