F12 vs. Speciale ?

Speciale because I prefer sports cars to GT cruisers
Yet to drive, an f12 will do all that the Speciale will do and is just as sporting (albeit with a slight penalty in its softness) and is arguably more expolitable and fun with its greater torque and predictable front engined layout.Or are you just talking about the 'idea' of the car rather than the actual experience it gives ?
If it were my first Fezza... Speciale. If you've owned V8's and ticked that box then F12. Ive had a few V8's and before now never really considered the more gentlemanly V12 cruiser types - however! As you allude to the F12 is a world away from the 550 / 575's of old. That engine, it's almost ferral - Whats not to like. Plus I think they up'd the sporting driver focus enough to push the V8's for pace and ability (you just cant match an engine who's bhp which starts with a 7 with a wallowy chassis) yet turn the wick down and you can cruise in style and comfort.
A real Jekyll and hyde car, one of the great Ferrari's IMO. Even a certain Mr (POWERRRRR) Clarkson said he'd like a bit less power... Naahh - leave it just as it is thanks...

A bit harsh, everyone is different and some people have an ambition to own something special but don't have loads of disposable income to lose on depreciation.Less hate more love.

agreed, also I refute that it's a daft comparison - not everyone can afford to have multiple cars and the F12 is still a sportscar imo.Less hate more love.

Just to be clear. Would these be the ttish considerations that you clearly didn't () make when buying the traditionally residual and depreciation proof 964RS, 996RS and Scud?(And this is ignoring all ttish considerations of residuals/depreciation and other such crud that only poor and or small minded people consider when choosing a motor car.)
Part of me thinks this is a daft comparison because they are so different (I own a Speciale and have driven an F12 extensively). I suppose I get the point about if you could only own one. But even then, that is not about the cars but what your requirements are.
For the record, F12 is not 'all the fun of a Speciale but a bit softer so more playful'. F12 is a V12, with a glorious engine, not racy in the same way as the Speciale's V8, but mighty, and builds a wave of torque rather than an 'electric' hit of power. The Speciale is instantaneous, manic and wieldy, the F12 is smooth, powerful, responsive and fast but much more remote. Very different cars.

I'm a huge fan of the CS/Scud/Specialie type cars - but the F12 is something else.
Chris Harris's review of it at Angelsey sealed the deal for me - I must have one at some point!
