Lamborghini run to Sherborne Castle
Discussion
Hi folks. I was lucky enough to be invited out for the day on Sunday for a Lamborghini run from Pangbourne to 'Classics at the Castle' in Sherborne. Craig at Lamborghini Pangbourne offered me a seat in his gorgeous Aventador.. to say I was looking forward to this was a huge understatement. I've always been impressed with how 'right' Lamborghini got the styling of the Aventador and I now know how right they got the rest of the package. The handling, performance, comfort and noise (that noise!!) all work together to make what I consider to be an automotive masterpiece.
I couldn't experience a day like this without capturing the moment on my SLR.. I though this forum might enjoy seeing what we got up to..
The day started with a collection of bulls and some HR Owen Aston Martin customers congregating at Lamborghini Pangbourne for some breakfast

At 8:30am sharp we set off for a spirited drive (staying within all applicable speed limits) to Sherborne Castle.

We arrived at Sherborne Castle at 11:30am. The organisers were due to announce our arrival so we lined the cars up and made our entrance (ensuring the Aventador was in sports mode for the added harmonic entertainment).

The Bulls were lined up on the Lamborghini Pangbourne display stand and they seemed to go down really well with the crowds. I had a good chance to speak to some of the owners of the other Lamborghini's - they were a really interesting and down to earth bunch!

After a thorough look around the rest of the show, several ice creams and what I now know to be a head to toe sunburn session, we departed and made our way back to Pangbourne (via a much needed petrol stop).

Even looking back at these photos it feels like such a surreal day. The Aventador impressed me on so many levels and I'll admit that my heart sunk a little getting back into my Golf to head home!
Hope you enjoyed the photos.
