I normally organise runs away from PH to limit numbers, but recently we discussed opening them up occasionally.

I see no other events organised for the Monday 29th August, Bank Holiday Monday, so believe it's a perfect excuse for a good run out.

The run will be around 100 miles, and will finish up for a late morning breakfast at a Diner with plenty of parking.

We will be departing at 7am from Boreham services on the A12 (CM2 5PY): Here

We will be gathering from 6:30am onwards - there's plenty of parking, BP fuel, food, toilets etc on site.

The route is tried, tested and perfected after a number of previous runs - and always gets good feedback. I'm not sure how much interest this will get, so for the moment if we limit it to 25 cars, then see how things go.

Might I enquire whether the run will be conducted at a 'spirited' wink or more 'gentlemanly' pace?

Dependant on numbers, I would envisage multiple groups - running at paces to suit everyone.

I find that around 5-7 cars is the maximum sensible in one 'grouping', without it turning into a procession.

I was thinking about skipping your place, and stopping in the carpark about 10 mins further on - if you know where I mean smile

Yes all fixed thanks. The circlip from my expensive new hi-torque starter motor had come of and become lodged in the clutch. Gearbox off circlip removed and a standard Landrover starter re-fitted. Lesson learned. smile

Looking forward to the run.
