I believe the consensus was that we had outgrown VW's car parking facilities.

Shame that, only down the road.

The VW meetings have been replaced with the "Sunday Services" - of which we've had 3 so far in the past few months.

Arse. i didnt clock on to them. virg was only 20 odd miles away from one of my storage places so bringing motors out for a laff wasnt a problem for the milage queens. so where these sunday services held? whens the next big one down near london?

i did really enjoy the vw meet that i went to, there were Loads of people and loads of cars...made my week that did. Are sunday services of the same size?

hooning and runs involve caning about in cars. The cars i was going to bring out are under offer at the moment and so cant get them stonechipped. thought id bring them out for everyone to enjoy. if it was just runarounds i can boot about in the phantom or st up north.

maybe something a couple off weekends away?

ill pull out an slr or an enzo. tbh its only fun if theres loads of people about, conversation and meeting new faces is the best bit.

Looking at the PH calendar 9th is clear.

Or a few weeks later to gauge more interest smile

Give it a whirl smile

VW is always such a roaring success that I bet you could almost gurantee a huge turnout if we set our sights on weekend only a fortnight away. I can gurantee you that the Thames Valley bunch will be there in a blink of an eye (we have been toying with the idea of arranging a VW for awhile now) and I have a couple of friends who have been wanting to show their cars off for sometime now.

I'll be there so long as I'm not otherwise engaged! thumbup

ok lets set a date. Make sure its ok with admin and other users etc and start putting it in the forums. ill call my parking company and get them to prep the cars for the date required. Aslong as im in the country im a happy bunny for a day out. It would be good if it was a mixed meet nothing like variaty in life.

I was just looking to see if the VW meets were going to resurrected and I'm really glad to see that they are. (I s'pose I could have done more about it myself - oops!)

I'm away on the 9th but anytime after that is cool by me and if you need a hand with any arrangements being made I'm only 6 miles away from the location anyway.
