Joust and I weren't reving our engines in Petworth.
I have an eratic tickover, don't know what Joust's excuse is.

My thanks to Jeremy for organising a great outing. My first and not my last, very enjoyable.

Good to meet a few people too, Rob, Paul, Justin etc. Nice 993 RS. A very well driven meat in a Noble sandwich.

Rob, apologies for missing our 'Team Noble' moment, got a bit carried away with Glorious Goodwood.

Roll on the next one.

Thanks Jeremy for a nice run. Sorry the Mrs now wants a '9'
As usual the TVR and PH mob are a great bunch. Nice to meet some new faces.
I'm just going through my video now (no it wasn't a machine gun on top). Got some great clips through Petworth and the surrounding countryside. I'll try and upload the best to PHTV asap.
Unfortunatley the audio wasn't brilliant, as I had the mic in my boot, so it's pretty much all V12

look forward to the next one !!

Many thanx to Jeremy for organising an excellent event. And thanx also to all the Surrey Runners - never seen so much eye candy.

i was totally exhausted at the end of it. But thoroughly enjoyable.

Best bits - first part of the run:- trying to keep up with the group which had the mx5 at the end.

Second part of the run:- following a chimaera that sounded like a formula one car (think silencing stuff removed - awesome sound).

Regards,

N

Bloddy sticking throttle cable. That's the problem with these handbuilt british cars, you can never trust the throttle to not stick open.

Thanks for the "sat on" view Steve for the first bit

The funniest bit was watching one of you indicate to the left whilst the other two blatted around you and that truck/tractor thingy

After that we got a bit stuck and never saw you again (although that may be because you lot went the wrong way )

Looked to be a very sweet handling car that one came up in conversation at the back of the field!

And I hope everyone who was wondering if their cars were a tad "run-of-the-mill" found that they were welcome. It was so nice to see such a wide range of cars.

That's one impressive looking chariot, exuding a whole heap of quality from every switch and curve!

(....And it looks streets better than the dogs breakfast that is the Tuscan 2 - or perhaps it should be called the TVR Toucan? - that I was hoping I would be impressed with on this viewing)

Why thank you.

As for the Tuscan 2, I was wondering why they had modeled the steering column on the alien out of Alien????

Not my taste at all (although I have to say I quite like the interior of the Sagaris, not that keen on quite a lot of the exterior).

A special mention of thanks to Shadytree who made Alison's morning by letting her passenger with him for the second leg of the run.
Sorry to Alison about not being able to give a run back to Chessington but I had to leg it

As for the 7 vs 9, I have to say I was sorly tempted by that V upstairs. Now look what you've got me into!

You're not kidding! I looked around for you with a view to saying "hi" and found you'd gone!

Indeed. Just noticed a distinct lack of BTaP logo too - that's a pity.
Another time, I guess.

(At least it gives my ears further time to recover from your whistling last year. )

She certainly is. Totally standard 1990 1.6 MX5. Now to be found in the PH classifieds
That was her farewell voyage. I collect my 111s on Friday

Ha, that was me indicating left - I was attempting a strategic move andto let Paul, in the Porsche, pass so I could slip in in front of Paul in the Noble - for an M12 convoy - but my intention was misunderstood and they both just legged it past me and the lorry and I spent 10 minutes playing tag with the three bikers after which Paul became the pork in our Leicstershire sarnie!. :-)

OK so I misunderstood Rob's intentions but in my defence, I regularly hoon around those roads on my bike. When I saw the opportunity to overtake......

Anyway, Joust sorry you couldn't keep up...yes we did take a little excursion via Petersfield, my fault I think...yep that's my bike route again, but we made it and had a bloody good time anyway.

Lastly, my coolest car vote must got to the chap in the Daytona, gorgeous car. I followed him through the Cowdrey Park bit on both sides of the road!!

An amazing array of machinery - truly a credit to the PistonHeads community. Off the top of my head I remember:
- Ferrari Daytona
- two Fezza 355s
- two Ultimas
- Marcos TS500
- Aston Martin DB9
- Porsche GT2
- Porsche 993RS
- two Nobles
- Maserati 4200
- a collection of V8S, Chimeara, Griffith, Cerbera and Tuscans.
- Seat Leon Cupra R, Renault Clio Cup and Ford Foci upholding the hatchback stakes
- Mazda MX5
- some dodgy old Audi estate
