Not been to a Sunday Service before and won't have anything special to take down the strip, but only live down the road and would like to attend, what's the process i need to take so that I can attend and what's the cost ?
Put your name down on the registration list. Cost is a bag of haribo payable on the gate.Edited by PNichols on Thursday 31st March 20:14

Looks like only 30 people signed up for running? Hmm tempted now, but not sure I want to risk the clutch.
Just give it a go, it'll be great fun! For newbies they recommend starting as if you were on a normal public road, and then putting your foot down afterwards once you're going. Just focus on improving your times each time you go out, don't worry so much about beating the guy next to you! That'll be my excuse if I come second every time anyway...You've got to drive like an idiot to kill your clutch, I did plenty of runs years ago in my 4x4 Sapphire Bosworth and Cavalier Turbo, both of which have transmissions made of chocolate.
I launched pretty quickly by holding it on the clutch bite then feeding out the clutch smoothly and quickly with no problems at all.
Its only if you side step it with high revs that you're likely to do damage.
Its great fun and highly addictive!

Can anyone tell me. If I booked to do some runs, do you join a queue of cars, and move along until your at the front ?
I'm bringing the family and don't think they'll be happy if I disappear for 1/2 hour before each run to queue.
Thanks
Yeah that's the case when i've been to the pod before, but I think this one will be fairly quiet compared to other events i've been to so not much of a queue.I'm bringing the family and don't think they'll be happy if I disappear for 1/2 hour before each run to queue.
Thanks
Anyway, They'll have plenty to watch and do while you're queuing.

Anyone had this email? My first PH meet so not sure what happens prior to the event.
Not yet, but we should receive them shortly. I believe..I've not been down the strip yet either, but am looking forward to it! First couple of run's will definitely be a slow launch, then once the clutch is out FULL POWAH!
As has been said, should be a good turn around on the Strip as not too many people have said they're doing it. I'm sure there are more who're just waiting in the wings, but regardless I imagine those taking to the strip will get at least a few runs done in the morning.
At the same time, see if I can't beat anyone down it in the Zed
