Hi All

Just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone for joining us at the show and raising lots of money for Naomi House. I should have a figure from them tomorrow and will let you all know.

Thanks to Beaulieu for putting on such a fantastic venue and to all of their staff for all of their help and also to all of the Car Dealers, Traders especially KIK Customs, RFH Cars and most of all to Baz Firth and the Bears for giving dream rides to lots of very happy people. You really are a bunch of fantastic people and we are very proud to be part of such a wonderful group. You are all stars

I can also confirm that everyone who donated a toy car is now OFFICALLY PART OF A GUINNESS WORLD RECORD.

The total number of cars was smashed by Andy and the Beaulieu Team and now stands at a staggering 24,189 toy cars all in a line and measured a fantastic 1.7km.

Thanks you once again.

Fantastic day out, really great job Shelly/Jamie, and congratulations on the record and all the money raised smile

Thanks again guys for throwing us in the middle, though the car looked like a toy next to all those stunning super cars and exotics lol!

Sorry i didn't get to chat with you, couldn't find you in the main event after the car park, then again that might have something to do with my awful memory for names/faces (I'm fine at remembering the cars though!) I'm sure I'l see you at another event soon ^^
Nice meeting those I did get to talk with, always fun to chat with other car enthusiasts ^^

Well done Shelly & Jamie, your greatest success so far, going to be a hard one to follow!!!!??? Shame about the Chavmobile winning, what on earth were the judges thinking when there was that fantastic old red Jaguar sitting there, bet the owner was gutted.

What a fantastic fantastic show!

Me & my two best mates had a great time, entered raffles & one of us even on a ride in the Vanwall too! Lucky guy!

Highlights? Well, there was donating money to great causes of course, seeing loads of great cars (and a very diverse collection as well) & meeting new people & then there was the toy car record! Never seen anything like & i doubt i will see anything like that again. 24,189 toy cars!!

Also the weather was perfect & that all that planning & day dreaming about this day (the latter in my part) were well & truly worth it! How the hell can we top this brilliant event i have no idea! But, it'll be worth a try.

I understand what you're saying David, but I think your comment is a little harsh.

Remember the show is called "Pride and Joy", and that car is clearly his pride and joy. It's what the show is about. It's not a classic car show, or a super car show (or a TVR show, although I think we were the best represented brand!). It's a show where people bring and show off their pride and joy.

Whilst the car isn't to your (or my) tastes, it's clearly had a lot of time and money spent on it, and you could see how long they were taking to prepare it for the show and shine!

And yes, the Jaguar really was stunning. As was the red Porsche.

Jamie, Shelly,

What a super job you've both done! I was really amazed by the show, congratulations. We all had a great day, even my mum and stepdad came along and enjoyed it, and they hate cars!! There was something for everyone and the turn out was incredible. What a great turnout for the TVRs too!

Please do let me know what I can do to help for the next one. I am aware,I wasn't much help this time around, but with the move at work, my mind has been elsewhere recently!

Hope to see you soon,

Dan and Ash

Ps. How did Beaulieu respond to all the high speed blats and wheelspins in the grounds? I enjoyed it of course, but also winced a bit, having flashbacks of men in fluorescent jackets at Goodwood telling everyone we won't be invited back if we exceed 5mph!! Are the Beaulieu officials a bit more lenient?

Just want to add my thanks to Jamie and Shelly for pulling this together, to everyone who helped out, staff and volunteers at Beaulieu... and to all the youngsters who donated so many cars! My lad's just gone off to school with a big grin and his "I Helped" sticker for "show and tell" this morning smile

What a great effort, and a fabulous day out. Loved every minute of it, from the meet at Lyndhurst onwards.

Bloody good job! Well done, and thank you! cool
