I'm on the 9:35 track session but have an issue - I can't get my towing eye fitted.
Panicking a little now as Silverstone's phones are unmanned and I have to leave at 6:30am. Am I going to be refused entry into the track?
I have the towing eye in the car, its just too big to fit into the damn hole (cue the usual jokes).
Is it a special tread size? Must be somebody who can lend you one?Panicking a little now as Silverstone's phones are unmanned and I have to leave at 6:30am. Am I going to be refused entry into the track?

Turns out the previous owner has put the wrong hook in the boot (only purchased the car a few weeks ago).
And I don't know of anyone else with an S2000 I could borrow one off. I've checked a few of the other cars at home and they all have different sizes.
I could take the 360 but I'm afraid it wouldn't pass the noise test (Capristo exhaust). My safest bet at the moment is looking like a 1.2 Fiesta.
I'm hoping they will be lenient given the situation but wouldn't blame them for not allowing me on.
Such a pickle!

the towing eye, im sure, is not a mandatory requirement. Its recommended you fit it incase you have an incident. Recovery will want to get your car out of the way as quickly as possible . Re tow hook I'm sure you be allowed on track without, but just be aware if you end in gravel the marshalls will just pull the car out by whatever they come to first normally a wheel, the paper work you sign will mean they are not liable for any damaged caused as they just want to get track clear asap.
Hello Nathan,
I received my email smiley included but have no printer,i thought the person coming down with had one but he doesn't.
Would taking a picture of the email and smiley be enough? Or what are my other options?
Or if anyone else has been in this position before and can advise of my options I will be very grateful.
Thank you Nathan for the email.

That's good news thanks Mikey, I'm prepared to take the risk as I'm going to be driving it very gently anyway.Gassing Station | Events & Meetings | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
