I'm in ... we are not going up Box Hill are we?
We're not going up box hill.

The rough route direction is heading in Cranleigh direction then doing a loop via Dorking and ending up at Reigate after another loop of country roads.

Friends are allowed smile

BTW not that I have ever thought about it before when I have visited, but will there be enough space on the Denbies access road?
Should be enough room, but if not, we can overflow into the actual car park smile

Top work George! It's looking more and more like this is going to be the scene on the day hehe

Wow - spooky! I sent you an email about 5 minutes after you posted that and at the end of it linked this run... Without seeing you'd posted!

Anyway, add your name to the list Dave! (And bring TVR, not Mini wink)

Seb - that's fine.

I might have a problem with actually making the run though frown My parents are saying that I have to go on a revision course, which means that I won't be able to go on a trackday or this run frown That's not to say it's cancelled though... I *might* be able to go on the run, then get to the course, depending on the timing of the course though.

I am supposed to going to Brands Hatch that day, BUT this looks soooooooooooooooo tempting! Any idea what time it will finish and roughly what part of Surrey? If I can make it to Brands around lunch time i'll come along in the R1 Phoenix and blow the winter cobwebs away.
I reckon that we should be done by 9:00, in the Morrisons car park in Reigate. From the end point, you can just go up Reigate Hill and join the M25.

Can I come along or am I too old ?

Father of R56 Mini

Planning on bring the Caterham if weather OK. Otherwise can I have ride in the Mini ?

I doubt the Speedster will start.

W77 UFO
You're welcome to come along - not too old!

I agree on the Speedster not starting... The car looks nice though!

Maybe put the windscreen on the Caterham, then if it rains we can try and put up the roof!

Sorry, I'm not allowed to take passengers in the car, my Dad says so.

Fancy organising another run in a month or so? I would offer but I'm a bit rubbish at things like that - truly gutted that I can't make this one, it's right on my doorstep. Just out of interest, is there any chance you could send me the route instructions? I need to find some new roads to hoon around!

Ben
I'm going to have exams, so this is probably going to be my last car event until after my exams are over frown

I'll send you through the route when I send it to everyone else as I need to finish the route description (just formatting now).

I couldn't think of a better word... 'Slow' seemed the one that would cause least offense! - By slow, I mean, with a 0-60 of over 10secs, with circa 100bhp/140lb-ft on tap! - But its not what you've got, it's how you use it! Eh?!
I'm joking wink

It feels like it's asleep!

Mainly as I've driven some cars so much quicker (Thanks seb)

I've not done a run before, what do we do about traffic lights etc.. As this line of cars is going to be about half a mile long hehe
hehe

Everyone will have a copy of the route, so should have a good idea where to go. I will try to back up the group on occasions to let people catch up.

Obviously we don't want to be breaking any traffic rules, so don't risk going through a red light or anything like that!

The other rule is: Wait if you can't see the person behind you. This helps to reduce the number of people getting lost and splitting the group.

Just a thought guys, if your route includes a northbound hike up the A3 towards Hindhead on any Sunday, be prepared for a loooong wait on the approach to Hindhead crossroads traffic lights!
Luckily it doesn't smile

Or atleast I don't think it does!
You're correct - the route doesn't go there smile

I decided to drive the route today, some interesting road selections that were not all TVR friendly wink Just a quick thought, but might it be an idea to split into smaller groups as some of those roads will be struggling with 70+cars in convoy smile Apart from that had a nice drive until my alternator packed up about a mile from the finish!!!!
You just need to slow down a bit for the un TVR friendly bits wink
Did you use the itn or the notes? I haven't tested the notes, so would be interested to see if they are okay!

Might be a good idea on groups - I'll decide on the day depending on the actual number that show up smile

Oh and shame about the alternator - did you get home okay?
