BTW not that I have ever thought about it before when I have visited, but will there be enough space on the Denbies access road?
Should be enough room, but if not, we can overflow into the actual car park MrChips said:
Wow - spooky! I sent you an email about 5 minutes after you posted that and at the end of it linked this run... Without seeing you'd posted!Anyway, add your name to the list Dave! (And bring TVR, not Mini )
Seb - that's fine.
I might have a problem with actually making the run though My parents are saying that I have to go on a revision course, which means that I won't be able to go on a trackday or this run That's not to say it's cancelled though... I *might* be able to go on the run, then get to the course, depending on the timing of the course though.

I am supposed to going to Brands Hatch that day, BUT this looks soooooooooooooooo tempting! Any idea what time it will finish and roughly what part of Surrey? If I can make it to Brands around lunch time i'll come along in the R1 Phoenix and blow the winter cobwebs away.
I reckon that we should be done by 9:00, in the Morrisons car park in Reigate. From the end point, you can just go up Reigate Hill and join the M25.mwjcw1801 said:

I agree on the Speedster not starting... The car looks nice though!
Maybe put the windscreen on the Caterham, then if it rains we can try and put up the roof!
Sorry, I'm not allowed to take passengers in the car, my Dad says so.

Fancy organising another run in a month or so? I would offer but I'm a bit rubbish at things like that - truly gutted that I can't make this one, it's right on my doorstep. Just out of interest, is there any chance you could send me the route instructions? I need to find some new roads to hoon around!
Ben
I'm going to have exams, so this is probably going to be my last car event until after my exams are over Ben
I'll send you through the route when I send it to everyone else as I need to finish the route description (just formatting now).

So does this mean you're definitely making an appearance George?
Yeah - I'll have sebhaque second in command for if I need to make a break for it! Hopefully I can make the whole run Waugh-terfall said:
I couldn't think of a better word... 'Slow' seemed the one that would cause least offense! - By slow, I mean, with a 0-60 of over 10secs, with circa 100bhp/140lb-ft on tap! - But its not what you've got, it's how you use it! Eh?!
I'm joking It feels like it's asleep!
Mainly as I've driven some cars so much quicker (Thanks seb)

I've not done a run before, what do we do about traffic lights etc.. As this line of cars is going to be about half a mile long
Everyone will have a copy of the route, so should have a good idea where to go. I will try to back up the group on occasions to let people catch up.
Obviously we don't want to be breaking any traffic rules, so don't risk going through a red light or anything like that!
The other rule is: Wait if you can't see the person behind you. This helps to reduce the number of people getting lost and splitting the group.

Just a thought guys, if your route includes a northbound hike up the A3 towards Hindhead on any Sunday, be prepared for a loooong wait on the approach to Hindhead crossroads traffic lights!
Luckily it doesn't Or atleast I don't think it does!

Nearly 2 weeks to go, I'm sure this could make 100 cars by then!
Come on you guys!

Definately!Come on you guys!
10 metres per car (inc distance before and after) and 100 cars.. 1km long line of cars
So long as we don't get stuck behind a caravan, we're fine!

I decided to drive the route today, some interesting road selections that were not all TVR friendly Just a quick thought, but might it be an idea to split into smaller groups as some of those roads will be struggling with 70+cars in convoy Apart from that had a nice drive until my alternator packed up about a mile from the finish!!!!
You just need to slow down a bit for the un TVR friendly bits Did you use the itn or the notes? I haven't tested the notes, so would be interested to see if they are okay!
Might be a good idea on groups - I'll decide on the day depending on the actual number that show up
Oh and shame about the alternator - did you get home okay?
