Any thoughts on a new venue? Bolton Abbey has been done now. There are other venues with more to offer the day visitor. How about Harewood House on the grass in front house. I'm sure they would be willing to negotiate considering the number of cars that regularly come to these meets.

They can either take what we offer to pay or get nothing. It's got to be worth a try for next year.

The event is very hit and miss regarding attendance. The last one was cancelled due to lack of interest.
I am happy to try harewood again but i get the opinion that the expect people to pay full entrance. The front of the house is a NO NO. The best they could do was about £5 a PERSON and in the north field. I was hoping to get a couple of years of attendance. This would make negotiating a lot easier. So i will try harder next year to get different venues. The event as the name suggest would move around. The downside being i have two companys to run. This is a hobby/fun and i have limited time to organise.

The downside/upside with bolton is that there happy for the business and don't care if 15 cars or 150 cars turn up. Other venues seem to want money up front. Bolton also allows BBQ's whilst harewood dosn't. So if the weather is bad an it's a no show. All bolton has lost is a bit of tape to mark the reserved parking.

I will try harder. In the mean time if you are planning on attending then please add your name to the Calendar. If you bringing a group then put this in the comments. More people more ammo for negotiating.

Cheers
chris

Note to self. Must try harder to get different venue

I've added my name to the list, but it's provisional. The car is due to go on the rollers tomorrow so if the engine stays in one piece I should be there on the 16th.

The event is on. So if you intend to come put your name of the calendar. It lets people know they won't be the only person there

Its a car nuts gathering, so your megane pack are very welcome.

Ill try to be there for 10ish and most people start arriving after. Most getting there before dinner time. Depending on how far people have to travel.

Looking forward to another good meet. The variety gets better every meet

This will be a first for me at this event with my 1971 Marcos Mantis 2+2. Looking forward to meeting owners and appreciative spectators alike.

£5 per car. It's the ice creams that cost £5 per person.
