Hopefully insurance should not be an issue both insured with flux and don’t think should be a problem with them I would hope
And with regards to the traffic lights issue if you could email across some details with it would be helpful
Thanks
Greg

Nigel, is that likely to affect our route?
Depends what route you take but yes it could, no doubt alteratives could be offered but as some only find part of the suggested route it may not for themI'll try and speak with Steve ("the garage" supremo) as he's local
Email me for a route in avoiding those traffic lights for getting in first thing Sunday (that's if you're stopping up there in a hotel)
ETA: hold on Harsh that isn't actually on the suggested route (or certainly the route I've been using) but it may be on your route

Harsh what day(s) are you going?
I'm unlikely to make it as a driver this year, car won't be back in time. If the calendar allows I'll pop by and say hello to you all.

I just hope that the MPH traffic doesn't affect the routes too much this year.

Please do Ollie Harsh what day(s) are you going?

MPH traffic will be no worse than last year - if drivers turn right at the correct roundabout and return to the gate they left by then they miss the queueing traffic - something that is learnt by experience rather than maps
As a lot don't it makes my Midget one of the quickest cars, I stopped for petrol once and still got back before some cars that left before me
It's great to see Harsh leave on a ride and even better to see him return, but he'll not make the 3 rides per hour

Can someone e-mail me a good route so I can plug it into my Tom-Tom? I don't know the roads round there at all and the last thing I'd want would be to get lost or give my pax an exhilerating ride in nose to tail traffic....
PS - XJ220 you say? May have to book myself in for a ride in that case!

Tony I can suggest a route for you but I've no idea how to convert it into coordinates/widgets/bits bites or scratches for SatNavPS - XJ220 you say? May have to book myself in for a ride in that case!
When I had a Tiv the SatNav was of a paper and ink variety, same as the MG version
But if you email me (I know you have before but I don't keep emails addresses as I've a compulsive delete habit to counteract all the junk Mrs Beer just MUST keep on the computer)
I'll send you a route by Google Map - main trick is turn left not right at the last main roundabout but don't tell Harsh as I've got shares in petrol
Hi Guys,
i'm coming down next Friday - my car will be of no interest but both me and the old man would be most interested in going out for a pax ride or two.
Do you have a list of cars attending on the friday available yet?
and price wise it it a set price? varies by vehicle? or donation?
Thanks
Dan

Hi Dan and Dad as I'm not an organiser I've not seen what cars have been promised for Friday but based on other years I'm sure you'd both enjoy rides in the cars available Friday, many times passengers enjoy the second or subsequent rides as much if not more than their first ridei'm coming down next Friday - my car will be of no interest but both me and the old man would be most interested in going out for a pax ride or two.

There is no price but a range of charitable donations (every penny raised goes to the charities) usually from £10-£70 depending on the vehicle
The donation is per vehicle not per person
All cars are offered for no reward and all drivers and the hard working helpers are unpaid members and volunteers
Cars are not offered until they are booked in for the day because for many good reason they may not be available at that time
Ones to look out for on Friday as well as any you fancy are:
Robert in has fantastic Lagonda (you may think it's not for you but no one has returned dissappointed)
Phil in the excellent Corvette Pace Car
the fearsome ratty V8 Westie driven by the even more fearsome Dave
(if going on Fri) Harsh in his topless red Itailian car or is it topless in the Atom
any Aston (see post above)

send me an email and I'll put you on the list for my Google Map, when/if I can work it outTom t will get you back to the NEC but you'll probably spend more time in queues than you need too and following some other will just give you a tour of the county but as long as you and your passenger are enjoying yourselves it's not bad - as long as you get back you've never been lost just on a longer ride
Could you also please add your name to http://www.pistonheads.com/calendar/event.asp?i=16...
All those that asked me for info should now have it at their server or even Inbox (as if I know what these things are)
Harsh PM me if you want to swot up beforehand instead of going freestyle
I forgot to mention that there is a BP Ultimate Station just "off route" on the mini-roundabout where Chester Road and Birmingham Road (B4114) meet but it has does have humps on the entrance and exit
