RE: PistonHeads Sunday Service: 16/12/12

Many thanks for arranging this, guys.
With hindsight, I could have arrived later and missed the early cold spell but it was well worth turning up to see such a good selection of nice, if mostly dirty, cars.
I really wish I hadn't bothered to clean the Jeep yesterday. It's even dirtier now.

A very good morning indeed.
I live a few miles from Goodwood so I felt the need to go to the meet by way of the Hedge End convey meet-up point - 30 miles away. Picked up up with the Hayling Island mini-group en-route and enjoyed some quiet and sensible motorway miles, with the odd power surge, as the Sun came up.
Good fun in a large group making decent progress on the motorway. It was dry enough to have the roof down, heater on nuclear, hot air blowing on the feet, hands and neck, heated seat cooking my arse - good stuff. I was pleased at how sensible and safe the driving standard was in the group - fun but no nutters.
Onto the circuit quickly:
Parked up on the track, blue sky, mild, no wind - who says prayer is a waste of time?
Mines the silver one that's not a Porsche.
Wandered down to the Aero Club. Warm + Comfort + Cooked breakfast = Satisfaction
Got talking to Dave from Twickenham over breakfast, a very nice man, we walked around together checking out the stock and he was kind enough to show me his very tasty and muscular Mustang (which he might be interested in selling if you're in the market. Thanks for your company Dave.
Home well before lunch, wrap a few presents whizz through a few domestic chores to keep SWMBO happy. A very satisfactory way to spend a Sunday morning.
