Hi Jay / everyone
I'll be there but will most probably be meeting you all at the second stop off point ( where we started before) as we have a bit of a late one on Sat night. What time do you reckon you'll all get to the second meeting place?
See yer there
J

Well, what a mad day!!!
Got bloody lost, not on my own I hasen to add, landed up with just me and the man in the red caterham. I lost him in traffic after finally finding our way to the A21 and didn't know where the finish point was so had to go home
Thanks Jay, shame I couldn't find my way to the pub especially after 70 quids worth of fuel later.
Dave.

Well what can i say.
Has to be one of the best driving experiences that i have ever had. Superb day out even though we only stayed till the Rye break point, due to tyres rubbing on the arches
Nice to meet everybody and put some faces to names.
Thanks again to Jay for all your hard work in picking the route. Gonna do the last leg at a latter date so it hasn't been wasted.
Nearly run out of fuel on the way back (started spluttering)luckily had a spare gallon in the boot and took it easy till we found a petrol station.
Hope the occupants in the TVR are ok.

The motorcyclist who crashed a mile further down that same road was less fortunate.
I was at the parking at Rye with the rest when Jay called me saying the ambulance which attended the tvr incident was called by one of the bikers mates to his accident, so there was 1 ambulance attending 2 incidents at the same time which made me decide 2 go back down and assist the crew.
The motorcyclist must has going really fast cos he was quite badly injured, several fractures and internal bleedings caused us (2 ambulance's crew's, an ambulance response car paramedic, the HEMS team and me as off-duty paramedic) quite a lot of work.
Due to his state the HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services) was called in and they decided to fly him to the nearest hospital.
The ambulance would have taken round 30 minutes to get to the hospital whilst the helicopter would be there in 4 minutes.
By the time we were finished and the helicopter had left the scene the rest of the group had already left Rye a while ago so i just decided to go to the pub at the end where i arrived just infront Jay and the other Elise.
Though despite the tvr crashing and the injuried motorcyclist i did rather enjoy the day, especially the first 2 runs (from the start and from maidstone) when the roads were still empty were good fun.
So thanks again jay for a good day!

Sorry to davestarck for losing you. I thought you had decided to call it quits once we found the A21. I eventually got to the pub. For your info the rest of our 'lost' group stopped to help the biker at that intersection straighten his bike out. They were at the pub long before me. I'll try to sort my satnav out better next time to avoid further 'interesting' detours.
Thanks to Jay for organising the run.
Cheers

well, 267 miles and 51 litres of fuel isn't bad! maybe I wasn't trying hard enough... really enjoyed the first two runs, although I managed to lead a wild goose chase on the third run!
great fun, and thanks to jay for a great route.
glad to hear the little off didn't end in pain (except the wallet)
good to meet all of you, and hope to do it again :
