My Son took his 105 Alfa......Parked in the One Make Parking and I think there were only 3 others there

Organisers shouldn't be so arrogant.....might have had 1000's this year but this year was the worst I remember so maybe there won't be the 1000's next year

This was my first visit to the show. So, I have nothing to compare it to. The place looked jam packed with cars to me. Both fields looked mobbed. Other than the small autojumble and lack of adequate toilet and catering facilities, I really enjoyed the show and hopefully, will find time to return next year.

As an aside, ignorance can be bliss, sometimes. We came down the A3 from East Sheen. Then headed into Bromley from the west. I'd looked at the sat nav route and didn't fancy heading along the South Circular and then past Crystal Palace. So, by happenstance, we got a clear run, right up to the main gate. We saw the sign at the mini roundabout directing cars to the public parking. Noted that the traffic was rammed and so, we spun around and parked in a side road not five minutes walk from the entrance.

Yay us! hehe

I won't bother with the usual grumbles because they've already been said, but this was our first year with a club and a few things struck me as odd.

  • You can't collect your plaque and programme yourself; you have to get the head of the club to do it
  • You only get one programme between all the club members
  • Our club was due in the arena at 1:00 but no one knew this until ten minutes beforehand when someone just spotted it in the programme
I wouldn't bother with it if it weren't in walking distance. For those in the south-east, I'd recommend the Cranleigh Car Show in August. It's much the same size but generally better organised and with 99% classics instead of all the modern rubbish at Bromley. You also don't get the fat chavs with pitbulls.

The Cranliegh show is a far better show, by a mile !! i've been many times, and Mark Evans sometimes shows up, who i like, he's a proper car enthusiast !
The bromley organisers (Live promotions) dont deserve the visitors in my opinion, they should start listening to some of the opinions of the people that pay good money to get in, but they dont, and untill they do, if they do, then numbers will continue to drop, which they have steadily over the years, i've seen that for the 25 years that i've been going there, i think yesterday was my last time tho.
They should start with stopping charging exhibitors th show cars, no cars then no show surely ! its a bit like charging footballers to play in front of a stadium full of people, i wonder if that would work...dont think so !

The price for exhibitors is pretty reasonable to be honest and I don't mind paying it.

I do think that the organisers should listen to peoples comments though as they need people to return each year.
