Noticed on Lotus club website they are also helping to promote this car show, so we won't be the only Lotus there biggrin

Excellent news, the more the merrier...!!

Could you drop me a line nearer the time regarding number of people going, that would be a great help so i can roughly know how many will be attending on the day.

People can just turn up on the day though, i'll be there just after the main gate handing out passes to the sports car parking.

For anybody going can i ask that you try and arrive as close as possible to the gate opening time. I'd like to get as many people parked as i can before the majority of people arrive. I'll put a post up though just before the day with final details.

Hi there
I'm a member from the Norfolk area and I’m helping to organise a classic and sports car area at the above event. If you are interested in displaying your Lotus please contact me. I'll have my Lotus on display there and hope to not be the only one!!
This is an event at Bruntingthorpe aerodrome on the 3rd of August to commemorate and remember Jimmy Dell, the famous Lightning test pilot. The highlights of which will be several high speed Taxi runs by the Lightning aircraft based at Bruntingthorpe. There will also be runs by the Hunter, Canberra and Buccaneer.
For more info please go to www.lightnings.org.uk
With regards to space for parking I cannot guarantee that there will be a separate parking area just for Lotus’. It is likely that there will be a large area classified for classic and sports cars and parking will be allocated in the order you drive in. Of course a convoy would get you all parked together if you arrived at the same time. Invites have gone out to various clubs so you may well be parked up amongst other marques.

If you have any questions please email me at patrickfloyd@btinternet.com
I will look forward to hopefully not being the only Lotus in attendance

Pat Floyd

Hi there....

Either will be great...personally i'd love to see the Aston because if i had that kind of money i'd be buying one...! And also at the moment we dont have an aston coming. As i say though, either one will be great to have along.

yep I think that's the plan, as you're coming from Towcester, maybe J15a services might be a better option to meet, let me have a look at routes tonight and I'll post up times on here. Not had a U2U from you on Seloc though

I spoke to one of the guys at bruntingthorpe today.....seeing what what the arrangements were.

They were unaware that some pistonheads were coming (no longer the case) they have said they will try to park all the "classic/sports/unusual" cars in "special" area of the car park.

They were very happy to hear that the group is coming.

So when you get there mention pistonheads and we should all end up parked together.

I look forward to seeing you all there.

Yup, that is what i'm arrangingwink

There is a 'special' parking area directly opposite the Q Shed that we will be using. There is a trade area there and we will all be parked directly behind that.

I'll be on hand just after the main gate to hand you a windscreen pass and then the ATC lads will direct you all to where you need to be parked. Look out for someone in a high vis vest waving madly at TVR's etc... That will be me!!

Ideally it would be great to have all the TVR's parked up together and the Lotus etc but it kind of depends what order people arrive in.

I may need a hand from one of the early arrivals to help with parking up....

Any volunteers????
