don't make me laugh!
It must have been a v.v.Old TVR & been badly driven by a woman.

Supercharged Saxo's only make around 160bhp on a good day!

When you say dissapeared in the rear view mirror do you mean it came up behind you so fast and passed you before you looked forwards again?

Think whatever you like my friend - the car was pretty well known especially at Goodwood (1m32s)

[quote=DustyC]Geoff...supercharged! Very interesting.
I'll be wanting a good look at the VXT too and if the chance arises a perhaps a passenger ride.

1m 32s is quick round Goodwood and very very quick for a Saxo. A well driven, modified Exige was running 1m 34s at a sprint recently on Toyos (List 1a) which the driver reckoned lost hinm 4s a lap over the stock Yokos. The TVRs were in the 1m40s!

Edit - Gruffy, be good to see you there - with the Elise?

What kind of world are we living in when a PH run that's due to start at 10:30 actually starts at 10:30!? Still, nice to see you all hurtling past me in the other direction. Would have been nicer if plod hadn't pulled me over for a chat on the journey from Surrey and cost me that 10 minutes I was shy of.

Til next time then!

Gruffy

Note to self: always remember to print the run directions and then you'll be able to catch up if you're late.

Darren,

Sorry we missed you, we actually left a bit later than 10.30am. There weren't really any directions, just head for Beaulieu, or follow the car in front and hope they knew where they were going.

I hope plod only wanted a chat and nothing else.

Neil.

Yeah, those were the only directions I memorised.
Plod just wanted to comment on my enthusiastic progress along the A3. Thankfully, nothing worse than a friendly (but prolonged and delaying) chat about the car and the road angel

I think you will find he was on the "other" run to Winchester not the TVRCC one

What a great turnout - I half expected it to be me, Geoff and DustyC going for a drive!

Sorry to those that got lost and ended up on the motorway - I blame Geoff for changing the route around

Gruffy - sorry we missed you and double sorry if I passed you (I was leading in the silver Elise) and didn't wave

Anyone up for another in a couple of months? Perhaps head over Goodwood way this time?

Agree it was a shame the others got lost. I think a slightly lesser pace for the next time might also help!! I'd be up for another trip whenever.

Sounds good to me - look forward to date being sorted.

How many cars turned up this time - we couldnt get ourselves out of bed in time for the run on the 28th but did go out later in the day for a spin and bumped into a Chimaera and Tuscan in the car park in Midhurst.

Yes, I would be keen but I need to save up some money to send the wife and daughter shopping at the same time.

Have you not read the topic entitled Bluewater? They arrived back at about 8.20 and of course mentioning Gatwick in the directions was a bad mistake. They both completely blamed each other, the best laugh being my daughter saying she couldn't give her mum more than 1 direction at a time because she couldn't cope. Therefore the wife was leaving junctions etc without being told which exit to take off subsequent roundabouts. BBC are interested next time apparently for a fly on the wall documentary.

that was the first time I'd led a run so I wasn't sure how quick to go.

How about Feb 20th for another run? Hopefully the TVRCC won't have a run at the same time so we can get more cars out.

I enjoy a fast blat myself but if we are gonna have a slower cruise how about starting a Virginia Waters thread?

At the one on 22 Feb last year we had around 200 cars turn up.

I know your kidding but it would actually be very funny to watch a better than the other reality/celebrity trash that always on now.

I just read the bluewater report, thanks!
