Sticking my head above the parapet.. I believe I saw a max of 187 for my runs (993tt w/factory 430 kit and fresh engine). I'll be the first to say that the figure seems too high; having said that the offical VMax from Porsche is 300kph. I suspect there was a slight tail wind as well. No corroboration from the dials; I was, ahem, busy.

Based on 177 from a 408 TT with 65k miles on original turbos.
Plus you're an experienced vmax'er (compared to me) - so I say well done sir!

I have to admit as it was my first vmax I didn't have much time to look at the display before my bottle went and I hit the brakes. Although my speedo maxed out at 180, I think I saw one track reading at 168, which is bang on the brochure time when my car was new, 15 years ago! Not bad for an old timer with 80,000 miles...

Was that attainable Vmax on the day or the driver getting used to the car?

Seem to remember the previous CGT in attendance was slightly slower than may have been expected...any thoughts?

Even being N/a a CGT pushes out >600bhp and has the shape to match......I would have expected a CGT to be around the 200mph mark....not sure the n/a or turbo matters much,,,more bhp, shape and perhaps weight, as Markbe mentioned earlier autocar managed 211 out of a Mclarn F1 and that is also n/a.
