Yup, that is what i'm arrangingwink

There is a 'special' parking area directly opposite the Q Shed that we will be using. There is a trade area there and we will all be parked directly behind that.

I'll be on hand just after the main gate to hand you a windscreen pass and then the ATC lads will direct you all to where you need to be parked. Look out for someone in a high vis vest waving madly at TVR's etc... That will be me!!

Ideally it would be great to have all the TVR's parked up together and the Lotus etc but it kind of depends what order people arrive in.

I may need a hand from one of the early arrivals to help with parking up....

Any volunteers????
happy to help if we get there early enough

It would be great if you could. I'm going to be there early, before the gates are open but if you arrived about 10 for when the gates open that would be superb. Do you have my number by the way? I dont think you do. If you drop me a mail through my profile i'll reply back with it....

I'll be there by the time the gates open but I've got to have left by 3 to drive back down to where I'm working.

Right folks.... Final instructions for Sunday.....

Anyone attending who is displaying their car separately from the general public, please would you try and get there for when the gates open at 10am or a little before if possible.

Its not a problem to arrive later but i will only be on hand until about 10.45 to hand out passes to those coming in. Below though is a jpeg image of the pass that you can copy and print off beforehand.

If arriving later, once through the main gate show this to the ATC lads who are doing the marshalling and they will point you in the right direction. They are being briefed tomorrow by those running the event to look out for the passes.

There is no marque specific parking but we do have a free hand to arrange the area as we like. I would love for all the TVR's to be parked together and Lotus etc so may take a little playing about.

The parking itself is directly opposite the Lightning Q Shed so it should be a good area to get a lot of interest. I will try and find an overhead shot to give you an idea of where to go.

The first Lightning run takes place at 11am so i would advise you to get there before 11am so you have time to park up and enjoy the first run!!

Running order for the day is as follows

10.00 Gates Open
11.00 Lightning
11.30 Jet Provost
12.00 Canberra
12.30 Lightning Memories Talk
13.35 Lightning
14.00 2x Buccaneers Sponsored pull by ATC
14.30 Lightning Memories Talk
15.30 Buccaneer Engine & Demonstration x 2
15.45 Hunter
16.15 Lightning

ALL SUBJECT TO SERVICEABILITY AND AVAILABILITY.

I'm just awaiting definate confirmation that we will be able to arrange a photo shoot at the end of the day for owners wishing to have pictures of their cars taken in front of the aircraft. This will take place (weather permitting) at the end of the day after the last run. For anyone interested i can talk to you about in on Sunday.

Please note participation in the above will require a donation which goes to the upkeep and running of the aircraft. There is no set amount so even as little as £1 is welcome although please give what you think is appropriate.

One little cost to consider is that it will cost £2000.00 of fuel to do three runs on the day!! The tanks will be empty come the end of the final run...!

But most of all though, have a great day and enjoy something that may not last for much longer!!

Anyways here is what you need to print off. If you are unable to print i will have them on the day to hand out so dont worry about that....

Have printed the windscreen pass off.

Am Looking forward to it. Will be the longest run that Wedgeinald has had in over a year, but he is running smooth as, so don't expect any problems on the day.

Would love to be included in the photos with the plane.

A very worthy cause IMHO, will be contributing to the funds when I get there.

Hi all....

Can i just say a big big thank you to everyone that attended the open day yesterday.

I hope you all enjoyed the aircraft runs, obviously the 3 Lightning runs being the highlight. The third and final run of the day was the most aggressive of the three.... truly impressive to watch and of course hear!! The noise from the third one managed to break at least 2 camcorders that i'm aware of hehe

For anyone interested there is another bigger open day on the 31st August where as well as the Lightning, Hunter etc the Victor and the Comet will also be running.

There is also a very strong rumour that XH558 may be putting on a display on the 31st as well......

Anyway thanks again for attending and here's hoping to do it all again soon !!!

Some of us who stayed late got to "meet the planes" with our cars.

Was a great day out thanks to those who made it possible.

Wedgeinald had a great day despite getting wet on the way there and the way home.

Hope to see you all again sometime soon.
