Just realised that the Seven Stars Pub is less than five minutes from my office, so I'll take a quick run and have a look at the parking.

See, back already. The pub is really nice and simple to find. Just turn off on the A272 to Winchester and it's on the left as you go into Stroud. The car park is about 3/4 times bigger than last week, plenty big enough and it's gravel

Question is do I go from home 20mins or take the long way round via PP again.

I knew you were going home, I just needed directions

Good job I did follow you though as I wouldn't have found the pub

Keep your eyes and ears peeled Monday & Tuesday for me in the beast - I'm down there on a bit of business and a bit of a jolly courtesy of the Client

Well if you fancy a wander out to Winchester afterwards you're welcome to wake up a few of my neighbours.

Excellent Pies!

However, you can leave *that* yellow fleece at home

Then again, at least I'll recognise you standing out from the crowd!

Just checking boys & girls, are we still up for this?

If so Im sure I could be persuaded to arrange the usual SE London convoy.

hello Nick long time no see

Sure are think I'll get Roz's permission and rename it to the Petersfield Push! or something similar.

IIRC the pub opens at 12:00 we got there last time at 11 ish.

How does that sound?

Do you think you'll be coming via Pease Pottage and across onto the A272?

I think now this thread has been resurrected we'll get some more input as to approximate numbers.

Roz will give the pub a ring next week to tell them of our impending arrival.

Huh? Roz...this and Roz...that

Yup that's fine by me renaming the topic so long as people don't get confused and wonder where the 'Brighton Burble Return' has gone!!

Nick (ncs)...I asked Big Al to contact you on my behalf to ask about numbers in your party. Any idea at this stage? And will you be able to make Pease Pottage by 10.30 am? We're going to pick up Big Al on the way

I was going to have a blast (in the Audi ) out to the pub during the week but didn't have time to do so. I'll probably get over there sometime this weekend and will let them know what's happening on the 28th and find out details about booking tables (if poss) etc. And I'll check if fish n chips are on the menu

Hi again

Pease Pottage for 10.30 is no problem, not sure of numbers yet but I will put out details on our egroup & get back to you very soon. We usually get 10 - 20 cars.

For anyone who wants to meet from London, how about Clackets Lane services on the M25 westbound at 9.45am.
