A big thanks to Paul, Stuart and the rest of the PH team for a great day out. Well organised, good parking and the bus service made it easy getting around.

Couldn't believe how quiet the 458's were, any disappointment was soon allayed when the F1 Clienti got to work and then the FXX cars too. We were surprised at how bumpy the new start/finish straight is, the F1's and the FXX's had quite a wobble on by the end of the straight.

We were idly wondering on the drive home just how much £££ is required to get on the 'clienti corse' scheme, are we talking lottery win/Euro lottery rollover/hedge fund? There was a Canadian who was running a 2007 F1 and an FXX, as well as a Doctor who was in Raikkonen's 2008 car and a 599XX. I'd just like an idea of how short I am in terms of funding....

Thanks for a great day PH!

A bit of Googling reveals:

you can buy into the FXX programme for $1.8million, which is limited to 30 cars............... another option, which at $1.3million is a ‘tad’ more affordable. The 599XX programme is aimed at those who derive great pleasure from blasting around on a racetrack in a non-homologated supercar.

Excellent day out - BIG Thanks to ALL involved in organising for fellow PH'smuch appreciated.

Any news on the guy that crashed at Becketts ? we were pitched between Copse and there when he slid off the car was a mess - do hope he was ok.

It did make me laugh.

When we headed off towards the car park my OH turned to me and just said "WTF, that's your forum name?" hehe

Well I was greeted at the Gate by no other than Stuart himself, and met with the comment " Oh so you are Nigel Pugh then eh??"

I have no idea what he meant by that, but it seems my reputation, ( or lack of it!!) precedes me within the PH Management team!!

I say 'I know you' a lot too and it's always greeted with a worried look. I guess we all just get to know names that we see regularly on the forums....or those that get reported to mods a lot smile

Same here. I explained my name and 'first' nickname were gone, so used secondary nick name. Passenger wouldnt have it that Pork is actually what people call me!

That did start an interesting conversaion though - there's some classic names on here that would take some real explaining to unknowing other halves.

Hey Stuart

Is there an online giving page? I didn't donate on arrival as I had to break a 20 whistle ...and when I left I was keen to get away - missed the buckets!!

Cheers
It looks like the total was £2,400, so a big thanks to all who dug deep, it really is much appreciated.

The online donations page, for those who've asked is - http://mydonate.bt.com/charities/missionmotorsport

Thanks for an awesome day out - F1 cars were the most amazing thing I've ever heard. Highlight of the day was seeing an F40 LM while on the bus back to car with huge flames spitting out the exhaust all the way through the braking zone - stuck around for a while longer in hopes of seeing it again but it didn't come round again - was I just imagining it? smile

£2,400?
~700 cars?
Less than £4 a motor?

Wow, we're a tight bunch...and I say that as a Scot!

I spoke to Milfman, he had a female sat next to him, whether she was a Milf, GF, or sister, I don't know, but I did ask him again just in case I didn't hear him correctly the 1st time laugh

Some gave generously (£50) others not at all, but it wasn't compulsory.
