£2,400?
~700 cars?
Less than £4 a motor?

Wow, we're a tight bunch...and I say that as a Scot!
You could at it like that, and I'm inclined to agree. But, if you think that the world record for the longest Ferrari convoy 'only' collected £4800, PH has done very well.

I say 'I know you' a lot too and it's always greeted with a worried look. I guess we all just get to know names that we see regularly on the forums....or those that get reported to mods a lot smile
Thanks Paul, I am even more worried now, it sounds like I have been reported to the mods more than I though I had!! angel

No donation buckets for record attempt drivers though (not that I saw at least). This total was raised by Ferrari themselves giving £5 per car that took part.

Some gave generously (£50) others not at all, but it wasn't compulsory.
I appreciate that, but as enthusiasts, many not short of a bob or two, who were getting the very minimum of about £15 of free entry, programme etc. I would've thought we might be more generous, especially considering it is a motorsport charity.

I have to admit I did forget and ended up emptying my parking change into the pot.

Its a bit sad, as we were all pre-warned that a charity collection was going to be made at the entrance.
Even TVR owners have been known to have a few spare quid after they have managed to get the car back on the road.....occasionally.

I can recommend the Peltor kids ear defenders. Have lasted very well with our boys and seem to do a good job.
Did you struggle to find car seats to fit the back OK? I was the person watching with intrigue as your family climbed out, on the basis that I am considering getting a Cerbera IF we can get the kids in. They are much younger than yours so it looks like it should be possible...

But then if yours were on just the base plinth seats, they might have more legroom than a younger kid with a proper bulky car seat.
wavey You should have said - you could have tried your kids out for size in the Cerb ! Bought the Cerb when the eldest two were 4 and 2. The 2 year old had a Recaro seat, forgotten the name of it but I can find out. It fitted very well in the car. The eldest sat on the base seat but with a seat belt adjuster to pull the diagonal belt down to across his shoulder. Now they are 11, 10 and 5 they all still fit. Eldest has to go in the front as he is tall, the youngest has the seat belt adjuster and dad has to go in the Mondeo hehe

Sorry, but I could only give a fiver.

Being a student and not actually driving there so I didn't have my endless amounts of change, is my excuse. boxedin

Didn't get a gracious shot of your chimera this time unfortunately!

Hey Stuart

Is there an online giving page? I didn't donate on arrival as I had to break a 20 whistle ...and when I left I was keen to get away - missed the buckets!!

Cheers
TBH, I just thought you were tight wink Glad to see you're not... that tight.

Git biggrin

My TVR was working fine until a minor incident with a hump backed bridge, some "air" and the landing caused my fuel cut off switch to cut in. 10 minutes of contortions under the dashboard later and all was working fine again hehe

I thought £20 was a suitable donation on the day to a good cause biggrin

It looks like the total was £2,400, so a big thanks to all who dug deep, it really is much appreciated.

The online donations page, for those who've asked is - http://mydonate.bt.com/charities/missionmotorsport

Thanks Rich, will wing a bit to you later. I couldn't find a clicky button on your website - maybe an idea "Donate Here" or similar?

It ended up being parked alongside the entry gate for most of the day so was rather hard to spot.

Glad you enjoyed it smile

Yesterday was my first SS and it was a quality event, and to make my day I was greeted into the circuit by the one and only Garlick himself hehe

It was a bit weird convoying with Sonic to a PH meet where both of us were forced to fall back on our daily drivers (his is a tad more impressive than mine though!)

Wouldn't worry, I only had about 17p in my purse, too reliant on the other half for cash hehe

Thanks also from me and my co-pilot for a brilliant day. To the guys with the red Renault that we spoke to at the services en route, lovely car.

Saw that a silver LS460 came in later with a PH sticker that I need to get too for my barge.

And pleased to say that the barge appears on the video too!

Brilliant brilliant day.
