In addition, both parties feel it is unwise to expect event staff and PHers to travel on icy roads in minus temperatures and it would be safer to move the event in the hope we will have better weather in a few weeks time.

Its winter, what weather do people expect at this time of year, all the roads are clear, and everyone is getting to work o'k? its hardly last winter is it??
Forgive us for bowing to the wishes of our hosts who provide the free venue enabling us to host our free events.

I'm not usually one to rise to posts, but as Silverstone have immediately given us a new date and everyone has been given a space I think we've treated you fairly well. However, it seems we have annoyed you and for that I guess we can only apologise.

I've signed up for the new date as a reserve but I seem to be moving down the list, started at 783 but now I'm at 790, how does that work?
Me too - I am down 4 places since this morning! Queue jumpers at work!

Wonder if the fact that there are two check boxes on the form have anything to do with some duplication of entries maybe?

I was number 42 but have deleted myself from the list now. Will get the gf to remove herself so thats two places freed up.

UPDATE
Due to the special nature of this Sunday Service those fine fellows who had previously signed up and then decided that they were unable to attend due to things that came up (ooo errr missus) will regain their place in the queue (so to speak) if they can now make this event and register to attend like normal.

This is why a few people have dropped down the list.

Sorry if you're Bumped off the list

And if you now CANNOT make the event please remove yourselves.

A few of us Northampton PHers may still stick with the pre-SS meet up at the M1 services. The snow isn't looking that bad this afternoon.

I guess same as last time. Stand around point at cars and chat. But go home afterwards instead of on to Silverstone.

I was there yesterday and all the car parks are covered in snow from last week, plus last night's snow = Good call.

??? Not annoyed in the slightest so rise away. Simply stating its winter and snow is a fact of living in the UK. It plays havoc with enough as it is. I understand Silverstone are responsible for those who are on and using there facilities. That is a fact of the modern world. Good job i didn't stay are home during the 80's winters or i would have missed Group B altogether. (But then again no 'Company' was involved so the risk was mine).

Sorry i have so boggled your woggle.

What is this 'snow and ice' of which people speak?

I live in the north east and we've seen a light dusting of slush (melted next day) and a bit of black ice (resulting in the usual hilarious crashes due to people being thick) and that's about it.

You should hold the Sunday Service in a field near me!!!

Did an MSV track Day at Brands last week, nobody seemed to have any trouble getting there or going around the track, perhaps now that Silverstone is owned by the Arabs they have a new outlook on British weather and we should move the heart of British motorsport to Kent again like the 1980's?

Probably for the best. I have a cider festival on Saturday night and have just developed all the symptoms of a stomach bug, so one of those (or a combination of the two) would have made it a struggle!
