I think on the site it was 3.50 for a day. Last time i went tho due to the mass exedos the gates cream crackered and just stayed up.

The car park people havent called me back so there either in the know or we will turn up in the am to a closed gate hahaha. how evil would that be.

You get the first 1 hour and 30 minutes free but from experience they leave one gate open whenever there is any sort of car meet which comes in handy! wink

maybe something a couple off weekends away?

ill pull out an slr or an enzo. tbh its only fun if theres loads of people about, conversation and meeting new faces is the best bit.
Looking at the PH calendar 9th is clear.

Or a few weeks later to gauge more interest smile

Give it a whirl smile

Maybe there could be a few Hoons/ Tunnel Runs to VW wink
Actually there is / was a Thames Valley and Surrey meet at VW on the 9th all arranged and done for this date. We had it all sorted way back on the 3rd July [edit 6th July]. Maybe some had forgotten, but the intention was not to promote this and cause a massive local problem.

See here -> http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0...

First rule about VW meet is don't talk about VW meet.

Actually nothing was set in concrete, I even suggested Syon Park back on that thread.

If the truth be known, I completely forgot about your proposed date of september the 9th and this date was basically pulled out of a hat by Tbops and some of the others. Pretty coincidental I would say!

Is the car park still ing expensive? Was £5 last time, IIRC.
Only if you stay over 5 hours hehe or just block the barrier or take yourself a tool kit to get the blasted thing off.
Actually I think that was the (over officious for shutting the entry gate) parking attendant realising the liability if the barrier came down on top of some of the expensive cars we had.

Anyway, I sure we will have good weather for it, which looking back to July, at the time was more a hope not an assumption.

Lets try and avoid the spilling of people out on to the A30. This time I think we can expect a lot more attention from plod.

I'll try and double check the parking details this evening, ramps, etc.

You're complaining? The last time I went along to VW and didn't get there late it was pretty much better than any motorshow I've ever been too, so I'm happy to pay £5.

I think it's now much better though, free upto 1h30m then it's not just one charge from memory.
Last time I ponced a ride down from a mate and he paid wink

edit: BTW my radiator seems OK so I'm in.

Perhaps this 'cat' needs a chaffeur ride in a PT Cruiser to a local restuarant in Windsor, it does great steak!

These things tend to snowball in the week leading up as people know what their up to or weather clears etc, and loads of people not on the lists showed last time... Guessing numbers would be tough.
