Thanks 250Wedge for organising things. I would have almost certainly missed the event without your post.

Was great to see, hear and feel the runs. Mighty impressive. Absolutely stank of aviation fuel for the rest of the day. Greatwink

Hi all....

Can i just say a big big thank you to everyone that attended the open day yesterday.

I hope you all enjoyed the aircraft runs, obviously the 3 Lightning runs being the highlight. The third and final run of the day was the most aggressive of the three.... truly impressive to watch and of course hear!! The noise from the third one managed to break at least 2 camcorders that i'm aware of hehe

For anyone interested there is another bigger open day on the 31st August where as well as the Lightning, Hunter etc the Victor and the Comet will also be running.

There is also a very strong rumour that XH558 may be putting on a display on the 31st as well......

Anyway thanks again for attending and here's hoping to do it all again soon !!!
damn, missed this! - let us know any info about the 31st Open Day- cheers mate!
