The first breakfast club of the year and the theme is Tax-free Sunday - For all pre-1973 classics.

I guess most of our cars wont qualify to actualy go on the grid (unless of course pre '73 owners count? biggrin) but there should be some good stuff to look at, and of course it's always a good excuse to enjoy the twisty roads down to the event.

Anyone is welcome to join us as long as they're comfortable driving in a convoy with the usual proviso that we all drive with respect to both the rest of the group and other road users.

We'll be meeting at Guildford Cathedral (GU2 7UP) around 7am and leaving at 7.30am for the run down.

add your names to the list if you're planning to come so we know how many to expect.

1. Harsh - classic old rusty body, oh and a car too.
2. Butters - No rust to be seen anywhere and not pre '73 either.
3. Fiona - 1969 Baja Beetle (hopefully, if not I'll blag it with the Sebring)
4. Dan H - not very old S2000
5. andrew. - sl : was saving for it since pre '73
6. jumplead - TVR 3000M
7. ChrisC - Triumph Spitfire, its '75 but thats close enough
8. firesafetdave - clio rs200 - not at all old or seight - still not that old (94)
9. Redex R - 1968 Red Shiny thing
10. Chevy-Stu - Camaro

As said above this is not a race or time trial just a leisurely convoy to the event, we wont tolerate antisocial driving - any drivers displaying evidence of this will be asked to leave the group. No one has to follow the same route as us and all are welcome to travel at their own pace.

We're taking a special trip down south from West Yorkshire to coincide with the Breakfast Club. Also taking in Brooklands and Beaulieu as part of our tour. Anybody happen to be driving over down the A272 from the Billingshurt area fancy a convoy of any kind? There are some fabulous roads to enjoy.

Drop me a PM if you want to hook up, I can let you know where I'll be staying. I'm sure you know the area better than me, but there's a handy shortcut which bypasses Petworth and provides some more nice twisties as well.

When you've got an asthmatic 4-pot which only comes alive above 6,200rpm, it's more fun through the twisties than it is trying to scare the oldies in Petwork. Nice place though it is - my grandfather used to own the solicitors' practice in the square if you know it - but loads more fun on the flowing roads through the countryside.

Good call, mate! I followed a Shelby GT350 and Cobra into the Revival one year - they made the most fantastic din. Drop me a PM and let me know your plans. Don't want to corrupt your thread with my boring banter thumbup
