...somewhere else.

Apologies to those who can't make it but we had to pick a date and unfortunately it won't suit all.

Don and are are getting together after his holiday to discuss some finer points, hopefully Dusty will be there to share his excellent route with us too.

Roz - I'll sort the weather out for you.

Watch this thread for more news in the coming weeks.

I'm organising the Le Surrey Run to France on that weekend so some of us won't be there but I'm sure others will. I'll certainly advertise it.

From one who hasn't been to this event before, where is it and what does it involve (apart from pies and beaches )?

Last years run was a drive through the Hampshire countryside followed by a shandy or two in the pub at Hayling Island beach. I believe some even had a BBQ.

Some photos are here.

This was *last* year's itinery - which was very similar to the year before. *This* year we hope to include the, by now, traditional elements and also some new things.

Safe to say. There will be "convoy" drives to a location...or locations. Much chatting and kicking of tyres. The availability of food...or time to enjoy a picnic. Some seaside activities....and general multi-marque petrolhead friendliness...

That and anything else .Mark, DustyC, myself and others can cook up that seems like fun to do for a group of enthusiasts for a day.

yep I remember the Nova boys. I was there with my S3 and a mate of mine popped down in his MR2 Turbo. Last year I was Carlos as I had sold the S and hadnt bought the chim at that stage.

This year I'll probably still have the chim. See ya then

Now in the Calendar, so drop it in if you are going. I'm going to try to get the council to give us free parking and perhaps the local rag to do a photo or two (they did it for the bloody 2CV owners club after all!).
