Saturday 8th April - Milton Keynes (Bletchley)

Rolling road day at facility with top class equipment. £30 + VAT per car. BBQ food provided.

That's the nitty gritty, basically a friend of mine with a 3rd gen BMW M5 put his car on the rollers a couple of weeks ago and I was fascinated and intrigued. The rolling road owner has said he'd be more than happy to host a day for me and other like minded owners when he's normally shut and include a BBQ if I can get more than 11 people.

As a Lotus Esprit owner I've posted this on the relevant forums and have received a good feedback but I'd like to open it to others to make it more interesting (a competition if you like )

So please post your interest here. I don't know what the max number of cars is, but if we exceed it, it will have to be a first come first served basis. Or, just turn up on the day and see if you can be roaded or just spectate

Look forward to hearing from you.

Jason.

Where is it, please? Not interested in the BBQ but very interested to know if there's a rolling road in the area that I don't know about.

Is that you Mr Jasonay?
If so I would love to come along and show you how a real mans, full strength, hairy chested monster tackles a rolling road.

My car will be run in by then so I might well be interested in this.

Unlikely I'll remember to check this thread so mail me via profile if it's going ahead.

Same here, I'll try and get a few other St Neots and Beds based PHers to come over as well.

Does he offer tuning as well or just a diagnostic torque, power curve etc?

Might be interested all the same but really I'd like to get some practical value i.e. a bit more power out of it.

Hi,

I'm up for bringing a '94 Pre-serp Grif 5.0L along. Is there any kind of email list we need to join?

Jason who posted this thread is away right now and I suspect not checking the forum. The day is going ahead so I'll find out full details and post them here asap and email anyone who responded.

Good morning all.

Apologies for being out of touch for so long, as Adam said, I have been out of the country.

The Rolling Road is at Marlin Engineering in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. He has only recently installed it and I don't know how much he's advertised it.

The day is still going ahead but I think we have a full house. I will check with the other organiser and report back. I would love to see some Porkies there however.

If people don't mind being placed on a reserve list, I would be extremely grateful. Somebody is bound to drop out, it's human nature.

I'll be in touch shortly.

Jason.

there is another rolling road in milton keynes that belongs to Racing Developments. They only specialise in race and track cars, one or 2 people may know them from here as they race in stock hatch and a few other series, its a great place for rolling road day and suspension set up and the like. thay are at blakelands in mk. www.racingdevelopments.com

I've put a final role call on the Esprit forum, so if there are any empty spaces I'll contact you guys to see if you're available.

Thanks again for your interest.

Jason.
