Banbury Meet - Details!

Please add your name to the list later in the thread if you plan to attend so the pub have an idea of how many mouths they are feeding!

Meet at 10.30-11.00 in the Pay and Display on South Bar Street (opposite confessions nightclub/dominos pizza - see map below - marked by red dot)

Leave 11.30 for a short (30min-ish) run before stopping at the Moon and Sixpence in Hanwell for Sunday Lunch.

How about meeting in Tesco's massive car park, possibly on a Sunday morning. Could always head out towards Bloxham, Chipping Norton (The Cotswold route).

Or surrounding villages out towards Stratford. Great road from Sun Rise Hill onwards. And fantastic views of the countryside (Well for those of us not driving ).

Obes & I would be happy to test out a route with you.

Sounds like a great idea. I would certainly be up for a meet in Banbury and a trip round the cotswolds.
Also thinking about doing a quick blast into France sometime in oct to get a few bottles of vino in. Anyone interested in coming along on that?

Not a bad idea, although if we have a large attendance. Not sure that everyone would be able to park up there. As very often the ''Whatley Hotel'' has there guests over spill & park in that car park. Especially if there has been a wedding the night before & people have stayed over. Just a thought!

Cinema sounds like a good potential starting point - I'll have a check how busy it is in the mornings & how much space there is free. I guess we could then go on a quick drive before stopping off at a pub for some grub!

Northants Run is on the 29th so does anyone have a preference for before or after this?

Hi Steve,

If I'm around I'll be there. Weekends are a bit busy for the next few weeks as I complete on the flat next week [eventually!!], then go off on holiday mid-October for a week. Should be about for a mid-week sometime soon too.

Maybe we could do Sunday 15th Oct, if we can get things organised in this time scale. If not anytime after the Northants/Dunstable hoon, would be great too.

Can't do the morning of the 15th. Might be around for the afternoon though. Not sure yet.

Steve: Pint sometime the week after next sounds good. I was up there yesterday, and it's still very much a building site. I am one of the first 8 to complete on the development.

15th isn't the best for me either, although I'll probably be around. Perhaps the 22nd? Although that is close to the Northants Run - seeing as the timing is close together maybe the Banbury meet could be more eating/drinking (non-alcoholic of course!) than driving though I'm sure we could arrange a bit of a blast!

Not sure but can find out, I'm sure parking on Sundays is only a quid.
Or we could just blag it til all turn up and then head off.
I have some friends that run a nice pub in Hanwell with a reasonable sized car park and do fantastic grub so Sunday roast could be organised if anyone is interested... Just a thought...!
They occasionally have the MG owners over for lunch etc..

22nd sounds good. If the cinema car park is full there are generally planty of empty bays at the other side of the cross. Sunday lunch in Hanwell sounds like a great idea.

Right... If I could have an idea of numbers for the sunday roast it would be of great help to the guys at the pub in Hanwell..
I've misplaced the Me N u with prices etc but thats probably because I've been out to watch the Liverpool V gallatassaray(sp) game so will have a look tomorrow and post it up.
