Now I'd reckon my Griff 500 is quintessentially British but I expect I'll get directed to the low-rent car park again by the gate-keepers

You may just need to turn up early as they try and limit the number of same model cars in the prime carpark.

Hi Folks

Aplogies in advancwe for the lame questions but....
Hoping to get to at least one of these, however they are quite a distance from my Lincs / Essex bases wondered what time do these things kick off ?

What are the acutal breakfast facilities like ? Any good?
Are there massive queues / long waits to actually get somenhing to eat? Dont fancy a three hr drive only to find no brekkie

Any other tips would be welcome.

Many thanks
Finchy

The meets are themed so you may want to choose which best suits your taste.

If you have a vehicle that fits the theme and you arrive early you may be able to park in the 'display' car park but as has been mentioned this is not large so they don't allow it to become full of only one make/model. This is not a bad move as it ensures viewing variety.

There are a selection of food outlets now having been bitten on the first couple of events where they completely under estimated the turnout and huge ques resulted. I found the food to be very good compared to some other events I have attended. I go to GW to view track days and the burger van alongside the pits does a splendid bacon roll to munch on a cold morning.

Last tip. Go to one of the first meets cos you may then find it is worth the effort and come down for many more.

At the circuit itself. The main display is next to the Vitra Cafe which is the old control tower.

Will that include my 4 year old Citroen Dispatch, finished in grubby white and complete with battle scars?
