Am planning a trip to the Nurburgring relatively soon and will be approaching from Amsterdam (Newcastle \ Amsterdam crossing). I know it will be a bit of a slog through to Germany but wondered if there were any autobahns on route (or close) to the 'ring where I could do a bit of fast cruising? Are there any signs I should look out for to indicate no speed restrictions (other than cars driving past at 155mph, etc.)

Cheers

Don't know for the Amsterdam area where the best place to cross the border is, i lived all the way in the South of Holland, close to the German border at Aken (Aachen) where the motorways didn't have a speed restriction either.

The sign to look out for is this one :

All squar signs in blue are an advisory speed limit, which is 130 km/h (80 mp/h) but there's no maximum speed limit.

Be awere that when your speed is over 150 km/h (93 mp/h) and you're involved in an accident which isn't your fault your (or the other parties) insurance can still blame you for a percentage of the dagmage.

All motorways where there is a max. speed limit have similar signs to here, round with a red border.
